Dakota Bound (2001)

Great Film overall

Best movie ever!

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Another Czech B-movie with Eva that is shot a like an American movie. If Dark Confessions was gripping and intriguing right from the start, this one is boring since the opening : it looks like the world has come to nuclear holocaust and that people survives in armed communities like Jessica Alba TV show or Pam Barb Wire. But here, the cheap production is really painful and the pace is so slow that i can't focus at that speed : Eva plays again a helpful young woman abducted who has the bad luck to answer to the bad leader, that is to say not the one who read the scripture and offers meal and supper but the one who treats like a sex toy ! Eva plays nicely this small part (and also shows her beauty) but if she wasn't there, i'm sure that i would have never picked up such a low action Scifi stinker !

In a post apocalyptic future, a group of young women hide isolated from the rest of the world in an bunker only leaving for gathering food. On day they come in contact with a group of raiders. During the encouter the girls kill the raiders and free 2 female slaves. After the death of their old leader, sister Helen, the girls conclude they can't hide forever and decide to head for sanctuary in the Dakota mountains. One girl however sees the opportunities this world offers to the strong and chooses a different path.Probably the best in the post apocalyptic themed Bound Heat movies in terms of film-making. It has definitely a stronger story than the others and quite a bit of action through it. Even if these action scenes are on C-movie level, the production values are bigger than in Lloyds other erotic movies. Of course it has still all his usual trademark scenes: Slave auctions, halfnaked girls working in the mines and the washing/preparing of the slaves. There is less nudity than in later Bound Heat movies, which is not that bad in my opinion, as some of these scenes in other movies tend to be overlong. Here the amount of nudity is just right. What's most outstanding of the movie is it's star Fawnia Mondey. This is all her show, she for sure likes her role as bad girl and plays it with verve. With her athletic body she is also credible as a strong woman who can hold her ground in a harsh world. Her Liz is one of the best lead characters of the Bound Heat series. While her later performance in Lloyd A. Simandls "Cries of Innocence" was rather mediocre, here she's very charismatic, on the same level as Kira Reed and Rena Riffel (the top actresses in Bound Heat movies, but not appearing in Dakota Bound), if not even better. There are 2 lesbian scenes with Fawnia of which especially the first one is very erotic. She knows how to move and seems to enjoy making out with other women. Also the other girls here are not bad at all. For a low budget movie it's quite nice, just don't expect this to be an action movie, even if it's sometimes marketed as such. It's a softcore movie with some aesthetic nudity/sex scenes and it's definitely worth watching for Fawnia Mondey.

A group of women live underground in a post-apocalyptic world, headed by the bed-ridden matriarical Sister Helen trying not to get caught as female slaves whenever they go topside to the surface. But there's dissension within their ranks. The girls are beautiful, but the story is deathly boring, and certain scenes seemingly go on forever. The acting is of the typical sub-par direct to late night cable variety. Too little sex for the soft-core flick crowd, too little plot or drama for the mainstream crowd. This flick just floats in the nether regions of mediocrity, the abyss of B-grade sludge that is inflicted upon the public far to often.My Grade:D Eye Candy: Esther Hanuka as Kate, Fawnia Mondey as Liz, Eva Machmajer as Miranda show everything, Various others get topless

I saw this movie on cable and I really liked it. It's kind of porno but the story is quite interesting. The acting is good and the actresses are pretty. For an erotic story there was something missing. I think enough was made to leave little to the imagination, but I think they could've done better, a step further. It was fun, anyway.
