Surprisingly incoherent and boring

Memorable, crazy movie

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Mgm's hit and run has some wild scenes and some more silly scenes. The garage scene where she clubs him on the fender was wacky. The part where he's stalking her in the house creeped me out. but the best when he ties her up with party lights on the car for the ride from hell. too bad it's in the last hour, i'd have loved to see more of that stuff. the parts that were not so hot were all the split screen action when they talk on the phone, just seemed a wee bit blah. i particularly liked when the teacher kills the big talking boyfriend Ricky who i wanted to strangle myself. also when he kills the wife, I was shocked and did not expect. if the mid 20 or 30 minutes was less dream-like, i think i would have liked this even more. also by the end, I wasn't sure who got beat up more, the bad guy or the jeep!

Film is a study in what goes wrong when you make one wrong decision after another.It's a like a nightmare that snowball out of control. like some kind of train wreck in slow motion.Hot Mary swigs a few too many at spring vacation blast. She gets out of the slimy hand of her dude, who can't keep his lips to himself. Mary don't listen to common sense and drive home stinkin' drunk. She accidentally kills maniac teacher off his meds on her bumper. He don't come off that bumper easy, he's like impaled on that thing.Tell the police, right? Nope. She hides the body and of course everything goes wrong. Because he wasn't totally dead, and he's mad as hell to kick her butt. Bad influence boyfriend trying to get into Mary's pants, even while she's figuring out what to do about the supposedly dead guy. To sum it, Mary gets attacked at home and taken for a real nasty ride, The end.

Is actually not bad small horror movie. The way they made the movie is a little peculiar style but I think it worked, considering it seem meant as purely entertainment. I thought scary in parts and I particular like use of cinema technique, screen "wipe", "split screen" and such elements taken from the 1970s movies and some twisty plot. The result is often enjoyable B movie style, with some mixed results bad and good. The main character deliver a good anti-hero performance but must be 'dumb girl' to make it work, or maybe the point is girl is making all wrong decisions in emergency situation due to panic. After hour of a suspense game with some gore elements, the action kicks to a crazy revenge story, which for me is best part of last 30 minutes. Mostly it succeeds to defy the convention in low key manner, while still use some typical horror thriller formula styles. You may have to check your sense of logic at the door for some of it, but this is weird movie.

Hit and Run [2009] starts out with young Mary, a teenager leaving a bar after a long night of partying. She drives home drunk. At one point she skids to avoid something in the road. She doesn't know in the meanwhile she hit a man who was wandering out in the night. In the middle of the night she hears sounds in her garage. When Mary goes to investigate she finds the man on her bumper bleeding to death. She tries to help but he attacks her and so she hits him with a golf club. Then she buries the body and tries to hide the evidence. So begins the crime and by the end, she will be exposed for what she's done when the victim, a school teacher, becomes psycho to pay her back the same. Is this just a horror film, or is also a moral tale of anti-drunk driving or a tale of vengeance as old as the bible? Either way it is an fairly interesting take on the age old problem of crime and punishment.
