It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

This movie tells the story of a guy named Pistachio Disguisey who realizes that he's descended from a long line of masters of disguise. You'd think he'd be able to tell that considering his name is literally Disguisey? This movie is unbearably idiotic and it only gets worse and worse as it goes on. Pistachio meets up with his grandfather who helps him after his parents were kidnapped. He literally asks him how he was able to know that. He literally never answers, he just does. There's a rule that the grandfather of a master of disguise can't directly help him. Who made this rule and why? Also, how is it that his grandfather is able to help him learn how to put on disguises and slap people when he isn't allowed to directly help him? The master of disguise needs an assistant so they go through a lot of tryouts. Um, didn't they just say that the master of disguise was supposed to be a secret? Why are they allowing all these people to try out for his assistant than? At the end, the villain super glues his own face mask to Pistachio's father and he...just shakes it off? They do the same joke three times where the villain farts followed by twelve seconds of silence. Then he farts three times in a row and farts underwater and the end credits go on for eight minutes to make the 80 minute running time. Pistachio has this really obnoxious voice throughout the whole film too. I think this is the worst thing Adam Sandler ever worked on and that's really saying something. Jesse Ventura has a cameo and I bet this awful movie drove him insane and made him believe in 911 conspiracy theories. 1/2*

Anyone who says this is bad doesn't know their movies,as someone with European descent I see the greatness of this movie! As with the movie toys it has a childlike feel, and Dana carvey is pretty funny! It reminds me of my childhood,as I saw this as a kid and laughed! Check this movie out!

It's when it comes to films like this that I really start to question IMDb's rating system. Because how are you really supposed to rate a film? On the plot? The acting? Cinematography? Entertainment value? Because this one has a shitty plot, okay acting, and pretty bad cinematography and special effects. But the overall suckiness makes it very entertaining. Is it thereby worthy of more stars? I think so. The weirdness and lousy effects makes this film really funny, and if watched between 23:00 and 04:00; hilarious. Many quotable scenes that won't make sense to anyone who has not yet seen this masterpiece and many other scenes that are just cringe-worthy and better off forgotten about. Despite of the terrible rating and overall mediocre performance this really is a film worth watching. It shows the diversity in films produced and even if you won't like it it will give you perspective on what is good and what's not and you will be able to appreciate real quality movies even more.

When Dana produced this movie, he wanted one that his kids could see without there being anything bad in it. When it came out, I was 18. Even though I knew it was going to be a kids movie, I still wanted to see it because of Dana Carvey. Being a kids movie and knowing his motivation, I wasn't expecting some blockbuster comedy that apparently most of the other critics of this movie were. It's a silly stupid kids movie with ridiculous slap stick! If you go into it expecting anything more than that last sentence, you are going to be disappointed. Otherwise, prepare for some good belly laughs! I came on here today to look up this movie again because a line popped into my head. If I had access to my parents' DVD collection, I'd be sitting down to watch it with my little girl tonight!!!
