Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

Personally I think it's "documentary" with some funny scripts to make it lively. I'll give it 10 cause it's really refreshing and with bright side of energy. I guess what George tried to convey is a concept to live a life you want. While he was bond, he would not be like Sean Connery, he made his bond. What if he had next 6 bond movies? Do the money and fame he make worth the sacrifice he made in his life? Actually George kinda regreted letting go of bond, which is never expected, causing the end of his acting career. But because of this he found out his origin and spent a life he longed for(achievements in other field). Therefore, I respect this dude.

This is not a movie about James Bond, it is about George Lazenby. Bond isn't even brought up until 2/3 through the movie (not counting the intro). With that aside, this is a pretty good movie. George Lazenby is very amusing, and most people will at least get a few laughs out of this. Most of the movie follows his love life and if you are looking for a movie about his love life then you're in luck, but if you're looking for a bond movie then look somewhere else.

On this particular night, I needed some captivating yet uncomplicated entertainment when I chose to give this a try, and this film did not disappoint; however, it didn't really exceed my expectations either. Lazenby comes off as a charming and humorous storyteller, and we are drawn to his narrative. The decision was made to use reenactments to accompany his stories, which made sense for a film; and then the second half of the film also adds film footage from his career on TV and movies. My complaint ultimately comes down to the quality of the reenactments. Already, it's difficult for me to pair today's Lazenby (narrator) with the 1960s TV/movie start Lazenby, but add to that the interpretation of Lazenby by an actor who neither resembles him physically or behaviorally, and I came away feeling like I really still don't know the man that well. The creative decisions behind the reenactments, the way they were casted and filmed, what the directors chose to highlight, left me with a superficial impression of the man, and a satirical idea of the making of the Bond film. Ultimately, it works more as light silly entertainment than a documentary.

Has the world become so attention deficit disordered that millennials cannot pay attention to anything without LEDs, mentions of technology, the use of words like Bae, Turnt and Lit to describe their life experiences?I really like Bond, read all the books in a three week stretch when I was 17, have seen all the Bond films up until they became utterly ridiculous (even saw the last one by accident).Lo and behold, a documentary about George Lazenby, one of the most interesting characters around. To me, a good documentary is comprised of narration, interviews, good old archival footage. Allows me the viewer to enjoy the experiences and times. This dud though thought I needed a poor recreation of scenes with horrific acting.10 minutes was all I could take. Thanks for nothing.
