A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
A fierce story but a story with a heart. A mythic flavour from the far away past,an wild conflict that keeps you tensed and on the edge. There is a blood bath but there is also hope. A legend is born!
At first it start like very slowly - many scenes are different from USA movies - it's different - but very good different - real lands, nature, sounds, costumes, fights, music and everything with action mystic story.

The few of their descendants have become ruthless mercenary assassins, the "waves of Ares." Lutobor, is a soldier with a difficult task at hand. He becomes involved in internecine conflicts and sets off on a perilous journey to save his family. A badly written and made russin warrior film with really silly sword fights, horrible acting and characters but a huge waste of money and surely time and not a 6.3 either.
Scythian is a very dynamic and exciting film. you look at one breath, unable to tear yourself away from action. the plot is interesting, the characters are uncommon (especially Kunitsa), the meaning is deep, the denouement is decent - without vanilla and pink snot. definitely worth looking at, the impression of the picture will not let you go for a long time. why the film was negatively condemned by critics for the lack of historicity. but in fact he did not even pretend to it! in the genre it is even indicated that this is fantasy. it's a pity that because of such unreasonable critical articles and insufficient advertising, the film has not received sufficient attention and has a low rating. so, look and draw conclusions.P.S. - sorry for possible mistakes - English is not my native language...
