There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

I rarely ever write reviews for movies but I feel this movie deserves a review. I love this movie, it is such a great movie. SO romantic and no, I don't mean in a teenage sort of way. Anyone at any age would find this movie romantic. Julie (Margot Finley) is so beautiful in the movie and Ronnie (Joshua Jackson) is so adorable. Willa (Alexandra Purvis) is sooo cute in this movie. She steals the show in every scene she is in and she reminds so much of my cousin who is younger then me. I love the whole figure skating part of the movie. The hockey playing part was okay, I don't particularly care for hockey, but it was alright. My favourite scene in particular was the scene when Ronnie and Julie were kissing in the snow. One of the highlights of the movie was the song. "Something Happened to My Heart." It was one of the most beautiful romantic ballads I've ever heard. I don't understand why the singers of the song didn't become more famous. Maybe they were contracted to do the song for the movie and that was it.In any case, this is a wonderful movie, no violence, sex or anything offensive. You can watch it with the whole family. I highly recommend it.I give it 10/10.

Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life; Do with their death, bury their parents' strife. For hundreds of years, one of the world's best-loved romantic stories starts with these words. I have seen many retellings of this classic tale, some with Sharks and Jets, some with police choppers and TV anchorwomen, and even a NY stage version where both the leads were both boys, but never one where the lovers lived, until now. For those that have never seen Romeo and Juliet, Ronnie and Julie may be a fair to middling romance but for anyone familiar with the story, the survival of this pair somehow robs the story of its power. If you have never seen another version of this story, by all means checks out this film, THEN see one of the more faithful versions. (I prefer Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 Romeo and Juliet) If you see another first, this film will lose most of its appeal.

Okey so this movie isn't very convincing. The snow is fake and you know from the start that it's gonna be a happy ending. But that is what I like about it! It is just like a Disney movie in a way, you know that things might get tough in the middle but they always solve the problems in the end. I think it is.. cute! And the fake snow and the scenery is a very important part of that. And what really makes my heart melt is the cute duet by Tanya Hacheroff and Cameron Grant they play when Ronnie & Julie are sooo in love..And sure I can see why men who need action and shooting in all movies doesnt like it but I know that I will watch this movie the day before x-mas year after year after year!

This movie was alright. They could have made it much better by making it a comedy like all the other Shakespeare stories which have been made into high school based comedies. The ending was also disappointing, there was no real moral to the story.
