Im in mixed minds. When I was 16 (Im now 37!) I adored this film, mainly for the dancing by unknown dancers. They weren't famous yet they were brilliant. Also the whole Latina/Latino thing which Im slightly obsessed with, Hispanic culture hasn't come to the UK so it all seems exotic to me. Now I watch it, and Im more critical... the kids seem way too old - younger people should have been cast. The story line isn't great, nor the script writing. Its sad that as we mature we're naturally so critical of everything instead of enjoying it. Id like to see this remade but with a sharper script, better actors but still the same sort of dancing, I'd love to know who taught them.

I can't explain in words on the impact that this movie has had on me. I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a film that has it all: great acting, excitement, drama, HUMOR and intense dance scenes. Shabba-Doo really carries the movie with hot choreography and excellent portrayal of the bad boy who really has that innocence buried deep down inside. The character Dean plays a great antagonist that highlights the movie with his intense attitude, great hair and unforgettable facial expressions. Blade steals the show with his portrayal of a man leading two lives, a Hispanic who changed his identity after he was adopted at the age of 14 by a white parents. After the movie is over and the butterflies leave your stomach, you'll thank me.

i don't know how this one slipped through the cracks, but it is one of best movies of the nineties and possibly of all time. believe me. it is so hot, and spicy, and it has lots of leather and chrome, or something.it has so many insane scenes that have nothing to do with the rest of the movie, and thrives on intense nostalgia for the culture and fashion that only existed in the early 1990's.it's such a treat to see such stars as j. eddie peck, adolfo quinones aka shaboom, and jennifer lopez before they became such hot hot stars. Hot.see this movie. it's like stand and deliver, except with much more dancing and obsession with the year 1990. and it has protractors.two thumbs up

From choreographing by Shabba Doo and Brainy Boo to the forbidden lambada dance before math class in "No Mans Land." You cannot escape the incredibly alurring and ridiculous call of the LAMBADA!!!!!!!! I would recommend this to any one who is up for a night of laughter, protractors, and terrible 80's dance moves. I love it! LAMBADA!!
