David and Lynn have just lost their father. Now orphaned, the youngsters are sent to live with their grandparents in a beautiful victorian mansion. But no sooner than boarding the coach bus scheduled to take them to their new home do strange things start to occur, initially in the form of a mysterious woman who seems to appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. It’s not long, however, before murdered bodies are found in the area and, to make matters worse, David becomes increasingly fearful that his doting grandparents might be involved in the killings.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

The father of two siblings has just died. They now have no living parents, so the two must now live with their grandparents. In time the quiet David (okay performance by Eric Foster) starts witnessing things that lead him to believe his grandparents are murderers. Things are not always what they seem. The second half works much better than the first. It also does the ridiculous stereotypical garbage a lot of horror movies of the 80s did (e.g. tripping and falling down when being chased, car won't start when being chased). It is the second half though in two big twists that bring this movie out of the ordinary. Some things may have worked better if they were done differently including an ending that does seem a little abrupt once the final twist is revealed. So, it is a rather blemished horror movie and far from one of the best. Nevertheless, I still would recommend it. Also starring Len Lesser as the grandfather who I will always remember as Uncle Leo from Seinfeld and Brinke Stevens.

i was quite surprised by this movie it was quite enjoyable and lucky i bought this cheap $4.99 in the states it has some decent acting and is quite well made Eric Foster is okay as David but he gets annoying at times as all children do but overall he was bearable Kim Valentine is okay as well not much of a part playing a bratty sister Len Lesser is okay as the grandfather as is Ida lee as the Grandmother the plot is decent and i was quite surprised at the ending it was cool and creepy at the same time oh Michael Robinson is just annoying and horrid here i wanted to slap him silly! and some of the characters did lots of annoying things and was predictable at times but overall i had a decent time with this worth the watch and worth buying if you get it cheap like i did **1/2 out of 5

Well, what can I say... Quite a common low budget movie, weak plot, but surprisingly a pretty good atmosphere. It could be worse, much much worse, but somehow the filmmakers managed to avoid it. It's good to see if you've got extra 1.5hrs to kill, but otherwise - don't waste your time on this movie.
