When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
I wish I could get back the last 90 minutes of my life. Going into it, I knew it was going to be a corny, predictable, romantic comedy. I was expecting that. I was not, however, expecting cringeworthy dialog; dry, lifeless acting; and zero chemistry between any of the characters.
Everyone wants open their own business but come on now, cup cakes ... and a baking competition no less with a huge prize ... this is so cup cake in the sky...i had no problem with the story line or the actors ... i don't remember ever buying a cup cake and doubt very many other do ... the romance was fine ...
The acting chemistry between the main actors was good, the "getting to know you" faze in the begin felt natural and the couple was cute together. I do wish there had been more time when casting the extras, especially since they were such a big part of the movie. They just didn't seem to feel as natural together, not unwatchable but they could have done better. The big secret Parker had was pretty predictable. It does have a slight cheesy feel to it but its a movie I can watch with my kids around and don't have to worry what they might start to mimic lol
One Hour Behind is a fun film that is well acted, particularly by Barry Watson. Its premise is cute and its script a bit more literate than the Lifetime movies it seems inspired by. Obviously filmed on a budget, nonetheless it is well shot with some moving surprises. We enjoyed it, so will you.
