My Buddy (1944)
A priest relates the tale of his friend, a WWI veteran, to the Post-War Planning Committee. Unable to get a job upon his return from the war, he puts off his marriage and works for a bootlegger. He is forced to take a rap for his boss, goes to prison, and forms a gang.

Highly Overrated But Still Good
A Disappointing Continuation
This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
The story of a soldier deeply affected by the death of his best friend in combat. When soldier(Barry)returns home, he is unable to adjust,find work-soon falls in with hoodlums.After serving time in prison, and attempts to go straight, Soldier sets enevitable course to films only plausable conclusion. A great effort for star Barry in a break-away role from his traditional westerns.
