Dymo, a respected man-about-town, is the charismatic gang leader. His headstrong, unpredictable lover, Carli, has a penchant for magnums and fur. This is a pair that believes if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space. Together they take on rival gang leader Jack Hand - and the local law enforcers, Blondine Dimaggio, a cop who has seen too much, and her partner Peter Dasha, whos police badge has an axe-like impact... in his own mind! It's the quick or the dead in a city where only the fast survive. The chosen form of transport is the new breed of turbo charged 2 litre all wheel drive technowiz rocket ships from the land of the rising sun. The gangs are taking over the streets in a high performance wizardry war-on-wheels that exists between those that were and the new nitrous injected generation - it's gonna be hell on wheels!

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Once upon a time a friend who told me to see a movie about cars similar as fast and furious;obviously he didn't see it.When we began to watch it,we laugh so much we thought we were going to vomit. I recommend this film as a comedy ,because it's so disgusting that the only goal of this garbage is laughing like an insane . My congratulations to the director:if he'd wished to make such a piece of trash on purpose...he couldn't make it. Strong points:when a guys says on phone:-Boss,I failed(or something like that),the boss brakes a bar and the main actor(a completely mthrfckr)shuts a door. 2-the dialogues are ....they just...no dialogues at all 3-and the worst thing is:there is no one good car. Please,anyone who's thinking to watch this,please buy a pizza and listen to opera or shot yourself in the middle of the brain.

In The Red (or Redlined, as the DVD is called) is a bad movie with a good heart. It tries to be The Fast and the Furious, but fails in almost every way.The movie is about drugs, not about racing, despite it's claims to the contrary. There aren't any cars worth watching in the movie, nor any good racing scenes. All of the car chases seem to be going at a leisurely 30 MPH, giving no illusion excitement or suspense.I picked it up at walmart out of their $5.88 bin, and for that price, I can't really complain. But having seen it, I wonder if I'll ever bother to watch it again.

As an aussie, I am ashamed of this film... I know we have much better actors than what we have to put up with in this flick. Steve Bisley and Terry Serio are good, seasoned actors who must have done this under duress.. I have seen better produced car chases in the keystone kops. The script was all over the place, and badly performed. Warwick Youngs character (Dasha), is totally unbelievable as a policeman, as is the entire police force portrayed here. A few (like maybe 4) hot cars are shown, but little more action than a few tyre smoking donuts. The exception being a reverse driving scene well done by the stunt team. Both sides have ample opportunity to kill, but choose to maim and embarrass instead...real tough!!! With better acting and editing, this movie could have been enthralling, but I only sat through it....well, I don't know why really!!
