She invites the cameraman Ricky Anderson with his sound technician partner; the nerd expert in "ufology" and "ley lines" Gavin Gorman; the actress Candy Vixen and an obscure gay actor to prepare the matter. Another classic by Jake West which tickles and delights the senses of all low budget b-movie horror/gore fans. A film crew visit a remote Welsh farming island to interview a local girl and her boyfriend. They were abducted by aliens and now returned she is pregnant with an alien spawn. The Welsh farming island is portrayed very much like Britain's equivalent to the Red Neck south of America. In order to make the interview more interesting and 'sex it up' a little they decide that re-enact the occurrence would be the best but they haven't accounted for the aliens returning to wreak more havoc still. Those naughty aliens aren't just naughty but evidently they are horny too!The film doesn't take itself too seriously and delivers laughs and horror throughout (although not horror enough to scare you out of your wits and stop you from sleeping at night). The CGI and gore is good and there will undoubtedly be scenes which stick with you after the film, it's unquestionably splatstick at its very finest Britishness. Without a doubt people will (and already have) compared this to Peter Jackson's early work of 'Brain Dead' and 'Bad Taste' and rightly so with the amount of fake blood that was probably used. The writing and script are fun and keeps driving the movie. There are a lot of original jokes in there and some nods to other memorable moments in film culture. The flow of the film is fluid and doesn't dawdle at any point. The cast is well suited to the film although some of the acting was a little hammy at times - particularly the UFO/conspiracy theory nutball the TV crew pick up. Of course Emily Booth delivers a sterling performance although she's always the same kind of character in films I've seen her in. If you are a fan of B-movies, bad movies, splatter/comedy movies then you'll love this. I'm awarding this 8 of 10 as I fall into the demographic to be a fan.

You know those TV programmes which make out they are serious investigations into the paranormal. Well, this movie features such a film crew who are investigating reports of aliens - they know it's all nonsense, so does their audience and, oh dear, they just happen to have encountered actual aliens, and they're not friendly. All this happens in the depths of the Welsh countryside. This film has a lot going for it, particularly a knowing screenplay which is constantly winking at its audience, and lots of gory mayhem for those who are fans of such things. It also manages to make a very small budget look merely small.Unfortunately, its very creditable attempt to make a sci-fi horror comedy with goals which exceed its apparent ability to achieve them is fatally compromised by some of the ropiest acting I have seen in a long while. The lovely and personable Emily Booth is head and shoulders better than everyone else and, to be perfectly frank, she's pretty dire, too.

The Camera work was extremely bad. The acting was also bad and sounded like it was being read from a script. The story was pure rubbish and the special effects looked like it was made without any kind of budget. The fact this can even be classed as horror is a joke, it's more like a terrible comedy with the worst costumes for the aliens. The 'horror' scenes are so predictable it's almost boring. This was clearly aimed at the teenage boy audience since it contains aliens and women showing their bust for 80% of the 'movie'.If you're looking for a good movie, this isn't it. The only decent bits were with the farmers who added some decent comedic value to the movie, who were soon killed off, making the movie boring again.

Raucus sci-fi horror splatter comedy regarding a documentary film crew, who work for a television program which display fantastic claims of UFO phenomena for entertainment purposes, running into real warrior aliens(with fancy blades as weapons wearing a special mask because the Earth's atmosphere is harmful to them) when they were researching a claim from a young woman who said she was abducted along with her boyfriend. This woman explains that her husband was the recipient of an anal drill with the aliens opening her up with a fetus planted inside her. Michelle Fox(Emily Booth, quite yummy)and her minor crew, for the exception of a VERY devoted alien abduction researcher, find the whole business silly until they come face-to-face with them in a bloody war.Director Jake West and company really provide a crowd-pleaser for fans of gory carnage. Blood and body parts always splattering here and there with the alien warriors, essentially human extras in costumes, often ripping heads(..plus arms and legs) arms off, gouging eyes, even impaling one poor soul on a wood crucifix. Farming equipment and liquid manure are used among other weapons by the humans. An adult actress, with limited talents, shoots a mean shot-gun. A running gag is the trinity of foul farmers who are the alien abductee claimant's brothers, with one of them quite gifted with a crossbow. Cattle are mutilated(..no, obviously fake), with their heads used for laughs. A farming combine is used to mow through aliens with their body parts flying all over the place. We see a woman pulled apart by "the alien inside". Jake West and his team gleefully poke fun at alien conspiracy shows and nuts using one of their own as an eventual hero. If there is a way to destroy an alien, West and his crew deliver in spades. For extra giggles, a gay character has a good many witty moments and is provided with some especially amusing moments when facing the peril of aliens on the prowl and the uncouth farmers in the midst. The inside of an alien ship shows how their guidance system works..through a massive brain, their ship's functions derive. There's even a hilarious sex scene between a female warrior alien and the nerdy alien conspiracy nut! If you are looking for a flick that is made completely tongue-in-cheek, throwing caution to the wind in favor of painting the screen red(..while also incorporating sleazy jokes and visual gags)with grue, then "Evil Aliens" will provide mucho enjoyment. West uses CGI rather well in the design of the alien ships in the film, and the gory make-up effects are a welcome presence. Low-budget, but evokes the spirit of early Peter Jackson with solid pacing and visual verve. West, I hope, will work more frequently in the horror genre..his work is welcome on my television set.
