If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

ANOTHER MORAL HOLIDAY from the small island desperate to reinvent itself and it's Film IndustryWack wack WACK! British gangsta movie. It's pathetic not just because of the 'plot', the 'action' (neanderthal grunts of men 'fighting'), or the ugly cast (where the hell they get these ugly, ugly people from?) but the racial politics are disgusting… like really disgusting, enough to make one think this is an MI7 funded bout of psychological warfare. The hubby to be is Asian and get this, the Black guy in this psychological propaganda turkey is saved by the English noble gangstas from the evil East European thugs. This turkey of a film can only be of use for Cultural Studies and Guerellla Intellectuals to watch and dissect. It's pathetic to see how that dreary drizzle island that invented racism (as Bro Jessie Jackson said) reinvents itself and casts its 400 years of sin onto East Europeans. It's the East Europeans who abuse for the buck ( yea right, not the 400 years of that Welfar Queen's plantation history). Where where oh where were are the films about that era of enslavement, enslavement and neocolonialism? oh yea, made in the US. You want gangsta go to older films this turkey hasn't learned from made in the US, You want Trafficking films ? do the same. And yea, I was born and seasoned in South London and left for the USA, not just for the great gangsta movies they make with the great sound tracks.

Firstly I am a Fairbrass fan, I like macho cockney geezers, I like Brit films and I like action underdog films. This is clearly all four of these. This makes it a cult film for a select few only. It will suffer from Hollywood comparisons (Taken, Face, Lock Stock, Rise of, Essex Boys even Love, Honour and Obey all miles better) and that is a shame as it is a small film (£2 mill budget) that needs to be judged as it stands alone. I guess it is ambitious from a small team, but I accept it is an easy current story laced with masculine themes and action. If you are up for a brainless revenge chase action romp then this has all the content needed, with dodgy simple acting and accents throughout.Freight will get slated but I enjoyed it. It is relatively well paced, shot in good definition and a solid enough Brit Movie. Fairbrass and Murray team up once again (Dead Cert) and this is their best film by far. Many critics will question these TV actors (soap EastEnders) intent on being movie stars (however small a film) but for fans of the Danny Dyer genre of modern Brit gangster films this is a good watch.Romanian sex-trafficking gang steal a toilet trailer with son in law inside, from a Boxing Club gangster. They go to get it back, using over the top force, killing a few of the gang. Evil leader Christie gets revenge by bombing the boxing club, and stealing Taylor's daughter. The revenge games then begin, with a dose of cage fighting, prostitution out of a strip club and the usual guns and explosive killings to find his daughter. Better than Bonded by Blood, but not as good as Rise of The Footsoldier.

Wanted to see this movie because I thought Bill Murray plays in it. It took me a while to understand that there's no Bill, but BILLY Murray. Oh, well... my first mistake. Continued watching it till the end, out of curiosity and because I had nothing else to do. My second BIG mistake. Just say no to this. Believe me when I tell you that there are better ways to spend one and a half hour of your life. You can watch paint dry, or something. (http://www.mirimgs.com/webcam/paint.html) You've been warned.(By the way, what does this mean: "Your review does not contain enough lines - the minimum length for reviews is 10 lines of text. Freight probably rates high on the list of worst movies I've ever viewed. Are the reviewers who gave this movie the thumbs up high on LSD? Okay, so the concept is great and has potential however the poor acting, poorer casting, complete lack of depth to main characters, bad cinematography and gaping holes throughout the narrative ruin any chance of obtaining ANY potential the concept has. My wife has now banned me from deciding our next films to view choices (I'm ashamed to admit it was my idea to watch Freight, I can't even lay blame on another!). How on earth the producers managed to gain finance for this film is completely beyond me. WARNING! LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WASTE TIME WATCHING BAD MOVIES ;)
