best movie i've ever seen.

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

OK, so maybe if you're expecting a sci-fi movie you will find this to be more of a war movie I guess, but if you go with the premise, it's very well done and acted. Many have said this apparently but the ratings are relatively lower than I think they should be. Perhaps this is because there is a very narrow genre for this type of movie. Might be too realistic of a scenario for those that like fantasy sci-fi. Might be a bit more like what it would really be like to be invaded. Not much fun there really. If I had produced, directed, shot, or acted in this movie or even done the audio and music, I would be proud of it.

This movie is very underrated.I don't know what the big fuss is about. It's refreshing to see a film that doesn't have the typical Hollywood BS and overuse crazy special effects. The actors were amazing, the story line actually made sense, and cinematography was really good for a low budget film. The battles felt realistic and weren't over exaggerated. I agree with other reviews, it does remind me of District 9. However, they should've stuck with the title Outpost 37. Sounds way better. All in all, I would defiantly recommend to give this movie a shot. Plus I really hope they come out with a part 2!

A well acted film. How this scores only 4.7 I will never know. If you don't like war or sci-fi films then this isn't for you. If you do then watch it. You forget quite quickly that that this is a low budget film. It's similar to district 9 but in my opinion is much better. If you like this genre of film then I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. To be honest I can't really think of anything negative to say about it. A well acted film with a good story. The special effects are really quite good considering it's not a big budget film. It's always nice when you're not expecting much from a film but it delivers more. A good start middle and ending in the film.

really do not understand the low scores for this movie, not the best introduction with admittedly pretty bog standard cgi, but once you get past this kind of standard formula stuff, the movie really kicks in, the first half hour is a little slow and pretty much like any standard 'war' movie, but as it progresses the film only improves, whilst not relying on effects, the effects are acceptable, ten years ago this kind of movie would have cost significantly more to produce, a sure sign of the times that great movies like this one can be produced now for much less money and create movies much better than many 'blockbusters' with big stars, great little gem, watch it and judge it, we enjoyed it anyway.
