I would have to say about this low budget horror movie is that it was an awesome horror movie and it shouldn't be a low budget movie. The death scenes were very creative and has buckets of gore that keeps flowing. I cant believe it was based on a true story and it makes you want to watch it because its true and it had happened its a horrifying thrill ride that keeps you at the edge of your seat making you want more and more. I would have to say for you audiences this is the movie to watch if you you are into the whole blood and guts it is just plain scary best movie I've seen in years. The movie has a great cast of characters great gore great killers and creepy shooting location for a low budget movie. The acting in the movie is a little bad but its still worth watching for all you horror fans out there. one bad thing that i do hate about the movie is the ending i don't want to ruin the movie but you might like it but i thought it was kinda a weak ending to such a great horror movie. since i can spoil the movie on this comment...all the characters die besides one killer.

The opening scene with the big bubba sawing a woman's neck told me that this was not going to be an easy flick. It is typical of those like Wrong Turn and Texas chainsaw Massacre, where city folks get off the main road and come into the web of some backwoods maniac (Erik Fones). They agree to move some furniture and find what they think are old slasher films. "Wait for it...Wait for it...Oh! Boobies!" However, they were more than they bargained for.It has some nice twists, plenty of cringe-inducing gore, and an original ending.Featuring Kristyn Green from "The Starter Wife," who gets hammered and pukes on Pete (Carmody), (or was that pukes on Pete and gets hammered by the maniac?); and Ursula Taherian, who may just be someone to keep an eye on. Supporting performances by Savannah Costello as the "naked dead girl," and Leslie Ann Valenza as the "8mm movie heroine." The main characters, including Matt Carmody, did a great job with some good dialog and a fair, if familiar, story.

Over all thought the movie was pretty dang cool, it work for me for some reason, so of course you read the about the movie an it tells you its based off true story or true events in that town that it said in the movie, really wish movie makers wouldn't do that it kicks the level of a movie right down to the Blaire witch movies.. an trust you don't need that over your heads, I've searched an searched for anything based on it got no were so that kinda torqued me off because after the movie ill tell everyone about it if there is a little truth to it but thats not going to happen now.... so i hope all agrees with me don't call it a base on true story or even call it based on events..because watching a motorcycle wreck an then the following week you see another one on the same channel does that make it based on anything..stuff happens all the time.have some kinda proof to back you up..

Decent gore hampered by an unoriginal, over-done, seen it all before, becoming quite redundant, for the love of God... Story. This is a real shame, because I truly enjoyed everything else about "Carver". It's shot well, the acting is solid and for the most part it is a strong contender to be a stand out horror film. But, instead follows the same olé' boring formulas of a thousand other (better) movies. Director Franklin Guerrero has the eye to make a real name for himself in the business, but first he must trust his "Own" abilities and stop trying to remake other peoples work. And as far as the whole "Based on a true story" (Crap) is concerned, it's just that, and no-one is buying it anymore so you can leave it off the packaging. I look forward to seeing what Mr. Guerrero can do with a story that he writes himself, and not after watching "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" followed by "The Hills Have Eyes" as a double feature with "Hostel" and then going to his neighbor's house to watch "Vacancy" and "Wrong Turn"....Originality is a key element in this genre... Try it, you might be surprised.
