This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

I'm watching this film on NT1 in France, 19/10/2016. The movie seems to be logical at the beginning BUT the moment when I saw Sam and Rob jump off the barrier, something went wrong. That's completely stupid to jump from a safe place to a deadly place. Maybe the story is so poor that they decided to add a stupid action to make it more active. The remain of this movie is a suffering for me to watch different stupid actions. Every action in this movie are so illogical and unnecessarily emotional. A lady who is supposed to be commander-in- chief in this disaster takes all of her time repeatedly calling her daughter. The couple repeatedly jump to a deadly place every time they are safe. That's purely garbage. Don't know why French television NT1 bought this film.

Unconvincing acting, cheap CGI, mainly focused on cheesy drama rather than action. About it's only redeeming quality was it had Robert Carlyle in it and for once it wasn't a disaster movie set in the United States of America.A great flood whooshed into the city of London, but buildings didn't crumble and there was absolutely no debris to speak of ugh...Bought this on DVD for a couple of quid on Amazon, but I'm sure I got ripped off because more than likely they sell it in my local Poundland along with all the other crap movies no-one buys. It makes 2012 look like an awesome movie.I hated hated just about every movie made since 2005, as they are never the kind of movie you'll watch time and time again. They're only made to look good on a trailer so they can rip you off at the cinema. This is no exception. When was the last time you saw a disaster movie as good as the 90s ones...Deep Impact...Volcano...The original Independence Day...I'll bet there hasn't been one.

"Global warming is killing us all!". This is of course despite the fact that not a shred of concrete evidence supports this flawed "theory". Lets all face it people, you simply can't take 100 years out of billions of years geological history and come to the conclusion that the climate is changing because of any minor influences. Do people pollute? Sure they do. Are we raping the planet of natural resources? Probably. Are we significantly changing the climate? Probably not, since the geological record shows far greater climate changes than we have experienced in the last 1000 years. A single solar flare has more control over the climate than we do. A meteorite causes more changes in an afternoon than man has caused in his entire time on the planet. A volcano causes more rapid and lasting climate changes in 30 minutes than man causes in 200 years. So why do these liberal idiots keep pushing this asinine idea? So they can get lucrative government grants to "study" this "phenomenon". The real study should be done on the ignorant saps that ACTUALLY believe these fantastical stories. 20,000 years ago the last ice age peaked. I suppose that was due to the major influence of spear chucking savages driving around gas guzzling SUV mastodons? Wake up people. You are sheep who will believe anything.Oh, and the movie sucked.

I love a good disaster movie and this one had a lot of potential. A massive flood in a major world city, a virtually unique opportunity to demonstrate the Thames Barrier, and decent but not outstanding special effects.Unfortunately the movie gets bogged down in some very contrived, drawn out, and stultifyingly uninteresting romances and family "crises". These add nothing and detract from the pace of the movie. This is initially an annoyance but by the end of the film, the cheesy subplots completely take over and actual action nearly grinds to a halt.Taking about 30 minutes out of the film may have turned his from a D grade drama into a B grade disaster movie. Unfortunately it's a bit late for that.
