best movie i've ever seen.
A waste of 90 minutes of my life
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
No idea why this movie is rated so low...the dance battles are great and its a classic street dance movie that paved the way for much bigger movies like Step Up. If you are in your mid 20's and have no rhythm and listen to country music, this movie isn't for you. Just search up You Got Served dance battles on YouTube and you will see its mostly positive reviews by young adults/teens who know this movie is fun.
This is not a movie to be honest. It's more like a dance video in the sense that the dance moves were very good, they're professionals so what would you expect. The plot, however, was less than impressive, it was ridiculous. But if I were to give an open minded view, then I guess the plot wasn't really 1 out of 10, but the acting made it all so, so bad.It's a pity really, with the beautiful Jennifer Freeman and respectable Steve Harvey starring in a quite dismal set up all together. Omarion is an excellent artist, but I think he should stick to his music and dance.In all honesty, a young child and think 'wow, they got skill', but even that young child would struggle to complement anything else.To sum it up, I will say the good points about this movie are the dance moves. The bad points are everything else! Waste of time, don't watch it, just check the trailer for the dance, and go on youtube!
I must disagree with many of the other users' comments. I admit the storyline does lack a certain originality to it..however this film is based around urban dancing...and considering that...IT DELIVERS. I know many of my friends who are into this style of dancing and this film has been an inspiration to them. The acting is mediocre - nothing that special...the chirography is pure bliss and you really get into the mood of the movie! Something which also has to be mentioned is the music, excellent choices made taking the best from hip-hop. I do however, believe that this film is probably not for the older generation...more suited for younger urban young adults who have an interest in hip-hop etc. Don't knock it before you've seen it...well worth the hour or so...
This is is terrible!!From the beginning to the end is just horrible. The bad acting,and predictable storyline is just repetitive. Yet again Jennifer Freeman manages to show she has no acting ability whatsoever.In fact no could really act Omarion and B2k performance was horrible to watch,when the little boy died i was laughing not because he died,it was because of their reactions were to it. The dancing was very good if only they never opened their mouths. The bad acting was hard to get over i found myself laughing thinking how could someone film this train wreak and expect success?? Very very boring and predictable. Not recommendable
