I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

"Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave" should never have seen the light of day. It most definitely isn't a worthy way of closing Down the "Return of the Living Dead" franchise. It felt wholly like and awkward attempt to squeeze every last drop of money out of the franchise name. But this abysmal movie is more of a thorn in the side than it is a final nail in the coffin. Not only is the movie plagued by an awful storyline, but also permeated by a feel of no one actually believing in the project, ranging from the writers to the post production staff.A gallery of uninteresting characters, mediocre acting and a surprisingly lack of proper zombies results in a most disappointing movie. The only good thing about it is that the 'tar zombie' makes a glorious return and looking cooler than ever."Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave" is a less than mediocre experience and hardly worth the time or effort, much less the money. It has been a steady slope downhill since part two. And this fifth and final movie is a shameful secret that should have been kept six feet under.

Gifted director Ellory Elkayem pulls off one of the most difficult feats in cinema in bringing to the screen one of the most clever dark comedies in some time. Using his camera like a finely tuned instrument, he creates an atmosphere that is both sinister and outrageous simultaneously. He skilfully incorporates Romanian locations into the film and makes the slightly foreign background work for him in many of his most visionary shots. Aaron Stongoni and William Butler must be given due credit for supplying Elkayem with a script that is quite dark yet manages to be uproariously funny as well. Although the entire cast have superlative comic abilities, Peter Coyotee is a standout in a rare funny turn as Uncle Charley, one of the most memorable characters he has played on screen in years. For the entire movie, there is barely a missed opportunity to bring on the belly laughs while scaring us half to death in the process. Do not miss the closing shot, one of the truly hilarious final scenes in cinema and one that is sure to elicit side- splitting spasms. In its own way, it is as brave as the lengthy dramatic shots that close Carol Reed's classic, The Third Man, and Antonioni's Jack Nicholson masterpiece, The Passenger. But Elkayem is a courageous film maker who takes a swing and hits it out of the park like those aforementioned great auteur's. It is a bold choice and has all the impact of the last line of Billy Wilder's comedy jewel, Some Like It Hot. It is quite refreshing indeed to see a creative director risk doing something so stunningly original.

"Oops! I hope he was a zombie!" Oops I hope this is a movie! Where do I begin? 1st of all, this Dead, being #5, used most of the losers from #4! At least Peter Coyote had the decency to die in the first 10 minutes. He once again had that really weird grin on his face. Maybe he realized the quality of movie he was in and said kill me quick! Lol Like I said most of the cast from the last one were here in the same characters but it felt like a different time line somehow. It's like they never dealt with zombies before! Julian(John Keefe) feeling for his uncle Charles(Coyote) who died was a joke. Did he forget that this was the bastard who turned his parents into Borg/Zombies in #4?? Anyways, the Zombie rat is back and this time has a name: Mr.Stinky! Tarman zombie also makes an appearance but way too brief and for what?? To be in the most idiotic scene in the movie: When the two wannabe Men in Black/Pulp Fiction guys try killing Tarman, they just shoot at his body!?? Knowing full well you have to shoot them in the head!! How frustrating to see this over and over time and time again throughout the movie! At least there were a couple of 1st's for me like a zombie forgetting about the brains and goes for a juicy cheerleader's butt cheek instead! priceless!1st zombie killed by a pair of drumsticks! 1st ever zombie doing oral sex complete with a Lorena Bobbitt finish! A actual DJ zombie and someone actually saying "Dude, that's totally gay!" after seeing his stoner buddy getting bit by a male zombie! Lol There was also a nice but way too brief scene that involved a strobe light and had a Carrot Top/ McDonald's clown zombie in that one! There was also a good but brief again scene of zombies being shot in the head with arrows by the girl dressed as an Indian.Something that was put to very good use and done in AMC's "The Walking Dead" by the Daryl Dixon character played by Norman Reedus. Makes me want to go see a good Zombie/Western movie or at least play one good game based on it. For the record, the words "Rave to the Grave" were utter by the Cody character and "The Living Dead" by the one of the "Men in Black" wannabe's. He actually says, "If you come across the living dead, shoot in head!" Something they do not really do throughout the film! Well anyways, make mine zombie! Later!

wow were to start.. OK first off all the reviews that said it suxed were true, i was actually having an open mind on this movie considering all the bad reviews. The story is bad, SO many plot holes, and gore that makes Mr. jingles look decent, i mean who ever gave this guy who directed it rights needs to quit the business.. i'm a HUGE die hard zombie fan but this.. i don't even know what happened. The ending was what REALLY screwed this movie over.. i'd rather sit through tourestas again(which is also a bad movie) then watch this piece of crap again. i gave it a 2 cause some of the humor.. very little but some made me chuckle. don't waste your time with this one.
