I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

Jake tries to make his girlfriend Emily watch a cursed tape. But then Jake finds out that Emily covered her eyes and didn't watch the tape, and then Jake is killed by Samara Morgan. Rachel Keller learns of Jake's death and finds his twisted body in the back of an ambulance. Rachel then realizes she once again has to save her son Aidan from Samara the evil ghost child. The Ring Two is actually a pretty decent sequel to a pretty decent original that once again works thanks to Naomi Watts but also a storyline that although not original fun enough for sure. (6/10)

The second part of The Ring ( The Ring Two) is a continuation of the first film . It is based on demonic possession . And is done very well. It is the tight relationship between Mother and son that is gripping. And the length one will go to protect there love ones. It is slow moving but it builds the story line. It is a moving horror film more cerebral in context . One of the great horror films if you understand the emotional aspect that Nakata is trying to convey . Naomi Watts and David Dorfman are excellent as the battle otherworldly Samara on there own as no one accept Samara's mother Sissy Spacek understand what the possession really is and what guts it will take for Watts to rid her son of Samara's influence .Great film and underrated by small minded viewers .

When it comes to horror films, sequels are usually very dangerous propositions (just look at the Halloween or Saw franchises). Fortunately, director Hideo Nakata follows the original "Ring" tale with another frightening, mind-bending tale. For a basic plot summary, "The Ring 2" sees Rachel (Naomi Watts) and Aidan (David Dorfman) on the run from the ghost of Samara. Of course, just when they think they are in the clear, the spirit of the long-haired little girl returns to wreak more havoc. While trying to put an end to Samara once and for all, Rachel must delve even deeper into her past to find the key to her destruction. This movie is really a tale of two halves. The first half falls a bit flat because it is basically an extension of the original (visits from Samara, exposition about the haunted videotape, etc.). However, the second hour of the movie redeems itself by delving into more original material, that being the origins of Samara. By that time, the sheer creepiness of Samara was starting to get a little thin, so an origins tale was a good idea.Overall, "Ring 2" is a very satisfying sequel that breaks new ground while still managing to provide some genuine new scares. If not for a bit of a repetitive first hour, this part two would have eclipsed the original.
