Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

"crazy or deranged woman"? to the one that wrote that.. I mean its easy to think clear and rational when sitting watching a movie Wonder how crazy one would feel if someone just murdered your boyfriend in the woods.. not too calm n logical i can imagine. A situation like that would cause panic. and for the most part I think its not that illogical. I think this is a thrilling movie. Not bad at all. Not so often one sees bikes in a thriller/horror movie. And I don't think its that obvious ending at all. Cause in some movies they die in the end and in some they don't. And I didn't think the gore was unrealistic like I read somewhere.

The last years we have seen a lot of horrors that happens in the wild. High Lane was one of them for example. Here we have another one. It hasn't received very good reviews and even I still don't know what to think about it. The acting by all actors was convincing, I never have seen another flick they were in but again, they did well for me. The only negativity I could give is that it is sometimes a bit slow. Again, the storyline is very simple, Anna, while doing her job as a bike messenger gets in contact with a unknown biker. She was supposed to have sex with him but instead he played some kind of bondage with her. Due that bad experience she decides to go for a hike with her best friend. But not knowing that the unknown biker is watching her. From there on it's cat and mouse with some decent gore added with it. Robert Krause, the German director surely comes from goreland so he knows what he has to deliver. There are indeed some rare twist of situations, for example, the workers in the wood make strange reactions towards the girl without knowing her story. But now and then it's a bit of the same. Running away, being caught, running away again, being caught again. The final scene is again in the gory department so again that's okay. I guess everybody could watch it but some will indeed turn their face away with the first and last killing. Not that bad but lacking in delivering fear.

Any movie that has so much time of nothing is simply awful. You will find half of the movie is just time to be filled by the leading female character riding her bike and running from the killer. Only three victims in the movie until the last scene. No dialogue and replaced by void. Stupid music, stupid shots, and stupid everything. The only beautiful scene in the movie is the first when the killer slashes her boyfriend's neck by his bike and up from there the movie starts going down to point below -100 where you will be so frozen down there and your mind has no job to do at all but to order your eyes to bear until the end of the movie.Only fair to say that the last two scenes were good but they don't make it even for the whole movie. Just a piece of toasted crap.

I really love genre-movies and tend to watch a lot of them. So I also rented Blood Trails, even though some of the comments here on IMDb are not very encouraging. But hey, I was pleasantly surprised. The movie has a good pace, solid to great acting and fantastic locations. The finale in the cabin was really intense and horrible. It's a great conclusion and makes up for some of the too conventional stalker scenes. Don't expect a masterpiece, but if you're looking for a mean and dark addition to the slasher genre, check it out! It's definitely worth it (and definitely a lot better than some of the over-hyped big budget horror flicks).
