Talaash (2012)

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

I have never seen a slower movie than this. Initially the viewer thinks that the movie would be at a good pace and will move in the flow. But as the mystery gets deeper the film get slower. Most of the time you can actually predict what is gonna happen next. But I think it was a 131 minutes of drag. For actors, Amir Khan plays a very convincing Inspector. While he cant convince us with his dedication to the role, but he portrayed it nicely. Rani Mukherjee looked like a very unprepared and loose act. At same time, Kareena's acting is so bad that you might want to turn while she acts. I wont recommend this movie to anyone.

The main problem with suspense movies is they keep you engaged till the end but 90% of the movies fail in handling the climax well. This movie handles a difficult subject with extreme ease. This movie has a paranormal background but no where it goes over-board and keeps the suspense extremely well. Audience didn't even realize that what they are seeing is actually something else. Aamir khan decided to do this movie, so there was lot of expectations from this movie. This movie delivered it.Acting is real. Rani Mukherjee was Aamir's wife is excellent. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is sheer class. He is next in sequence of Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Girish Karnad, Sanjeev Kumar. Plot has enough twists to keep audience thinking in different variations.I can't think of any more justified ending than this one's.

I went to see Talaash with an open mind. Hoped Aamir and crew would have something for me. Furthermore, I wanted to see what Katagi had to offer after her fabulous debut!Aamir is good, as alwaysI wish there was more of Rani Mukherjee in the film, she was her character, but wish there was more of her. Rajkumar seems like the next big thing; he's calm and silent.. kinda coolHowever, it is Kareena Kapoor who steals the show with her cheesy lines, mischievous eyes and subtle look.. A good film after her incredibly touching and funny Honeymoon Travels! glad i saw it..

As an Aamir Khan fan, I had to watch this movie!! And he did not disappoint as always.Story is good and believable, yes of course, the ending may not be acceptable, but you know, nothing is impossible!!!The characters, all of them have a role and that's a commendable part of the story!!!And yes, Kareena, she is the Queen of the movie...there could not be a Talaash without her!!!She is absolutely amazing in the movie, loved her totally, her style, her dialogue delivery, absolutely everything...Music is also very good, it stays with you for a long time after having watched the movie.Overall, a great watch!!
