The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Ah 1985, as the song says "still preoccupied with 1985". That's got to be my favorite year. I was 19 turning 20 that year and surprisingly, I did not see this movie on the big screen, even though I caught just about every flick I could back in the day, I don't recall hearing about this one or any fervor or hoopla over it, at least not in my little circle. I saw this years later on cable and love it! I've not seen it in many years and once again caught it on cable and oh how wonderful it was/is. Before CGI, movie studios had to use more conventional special affects, molds, man made dolls, animation, animatronics, etc. For it's time this was a first rate effort. The special affects, while now a little dated, are still amazing to me when viewed in context. This movie is a horror scifi vampire movie. With all the English actors and accents it feels like an updated Hammer film and I've always loved hammer, although it's not. I highly recommend this as best in class for that error and Mathilda May, what more can be said there, nudity abounds, woohoo, still preoccupied with 1985.

Favorite Movie Quote: "She's totally dangerous!" Though out of whack and even daffy at times - "Lifeforce" was an insanely wild, over-the-top SyFy tale that owed plenty to "Dawn Of The Dead" and "The Thing"."Lifeforce" starts off as an outer space saga, then becomes a crazy vampire movie, then turns into an end-of-the-world story."Lifeforce" is the sort of movie that's clearly ridiculous to the extreme, but, at the same time, it's so bizarre that it's actually fascinating - (Yes. People disintegrate)The city of London finds itself madly over-run by soul-sucking zombies and the one controlling it all is a gorgeous, naked, space vampiress. With a promising screenplay written by "Alien's" Dan O'Bannon, "Lifeforce" certainly could've been a whole lot better, but, unfortunately, it suffered considerably under the inconsistent direction of "Texas Chainsaw's" Tobe Hooper.

This film has a very special place in my heart. To sit back and read all the reviews from people who really love it is heart warming. To read the ones that rip it to shreds, I like them too. I just love the heated debate this film inspires even to this day. I must admit I would like to remake this story but more to the original Colin Wilson novel. To watch the film and remember the awesome time I had working at Elstree Studios with people people who had worked on the original 'Star Wars' trilogy makes me realise how lucky I was to spend several months on this playing a Walking Shrival. My first acting job. A dream come true playing in a twenty five million dollar playground.https://www.facebook.com/lifeforcewalkingshrival/

This movie is based off a book, that book's title is Space Tits. I have not yet read Space Tits, but part of me really wants to. Space Tits is based off of Dracula- so if a movie is based off of a book which itself is based off of another book, wouldn't the movie ultimately be based off of the book that the book is based off of? It means Lifeforce is just Dracula but by another name. Just like remarkable nudity in this movie, top shelf, I remember watching this movie for the first time and thinking to myself, hot damn that's some tittie! I feel as though that previous statement provides adequate summery of the movie's plot. People struggle, the struggles have meaning, the end.
