It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

There aren't too many good disney sequels out there, but I think The Return of Jafar is one of them. This movie has a different tone compared to the first one, and that is something I like about this movie unlike other disney sequels. The plot is more interesting since not only Jafar has returned, but he is now a genie, so now a more tougher challenge awaits for Aladdin and his friends. I think it's a fine sequel to Aladdin, and most certainly watchable. So I don't really understand the criticism this movie gets, as I think people are being quite harsh. It's good for what it is, and it's still interesting and watchable if you ask me. Yes, Jafar is one of my favourite disney villains out there, so I would of course rate this movie highly. I think it's one of the best disney sequels there is to offer.

There are some films that leave no room for sequels but they end up being made because of money. If a certain film was a success, its certain that it will have a sequel that, normally, will not be worth a third of the initial movie. That was precisely what happened here: the film was a success and this sequel was made to raise some more coins. Based on an unsuccessful attempt by Jafar to come back to haunt Aladdin's life, the film is a disaster, starting with the fact that it does not have enough screenplay to justify a feature film. It would be at most a short film! It is a poor and meager story. It has no animation, no joke, no good songs like the first movie. It has songs, but they are a total pity. It's a movie that should not have been made.

I hadn't seen Aladdin since I was a kid, and decided to give it another shot. It still holds up, and I still enjoyed it as an adult.I had heard about the sequel, but not much beyond the fact that it existed and was straight to home video. I decided to give it a shot after becoming enamoured with the first again, since I was curious if it was actually that bad. Well, the answer is yes. I read that it was basically taken from what was meant to be TV episodes, and it really shows. It feels like a TV kids cartoon, with weak story (with built in predictable TV tropes) and forgettable songs. It might be OK for little kids dying for more Aladdin after seeing the first, but I'm not even sure if all of them would enjoy it. In the end it wasn't completely horrible, but it was a pretty disappointing sequel. While the second film is rarely as good as the first, this one felt like a soul-less cash grab made without the love that was put into the original.

this movie was terrible, it has ruined the original movie because there was no plot even. I was very disappointed because I loved the first movie plot,songs and even the picture. but this movie was of poor quality and poor plot. usually Disney produce better sequels for the movies but here they tried just to earn money without spending much money and put an effort. we all love Disney movies but that does not mean we can ignore their mistakes especially with a great movie of aladdin.we hope that Disney next time pay attention to details like that. my rating for this movie with all the things it contained is no more that 4 out of 10. this movie is a waste of time no more
