Nina's World Season 1

A major snow storm is about to hit the city and it's the first night of Hanukkah. When Mrs. Goldstein discovers there is no oil of any kind available due to delayed shipments because of the rare storm, her plans to make her traditional Latkes and jelly donuts are in jeopardy. Enter Jennifer, her can-do, charismatic daughter, home for a visit. She leads Nina, Carlos, and Chelsea in a city-wide search to find vegetable oil for Mrs. Goldstein and olive oil for the Rabbi's Menorah.

Nina is excited when she and her family are invited to the Lins for Chinese New Year celebrations -- featuring a Lion Dance. Nina would love to have an outfit just like Skye has on. But the Lion Dance may be jeopardized when Nina, in her excitement, helps herself to red envelopes that, as it turns out, are meant for the performers.

Nina makes Christmas tree ornaments for her family and neighbors, but soon discovers that not everyone has a Christmas Tree, or even celebrates the same holiday - and yet they all embrace the season of giving and festive lights.

When the oven breaks down in Chelsea's house, she worries that her Thanksgiving will be ruined, but Nina works to save the day.

When a baby comes to visit, Nina and Mami learn that it's not as easy as they thought it would be.

When 'Father's Day' doesn't go quite like Nina had planned, Nina decides it's time for a do-over.

When the neighborhood has a yard sale, Nina is SHOCKED when she learns Papi is trying to get rid of some of her old toys. And now Nina is DETERMINED to keep them.

Nina had such a great time camping that she now wants to share her experience with her friends, Chelsea and Carlos. But just when they pitch a homemade tent under the old oak, it starts to rain. Her outside camping fun is ruined - or is it.

When Nina arrives at the campground she finds everything is very different from her home, and gets a little homesick. But after her family encourages her to try all the wonderful aspects of camping, like hiking, making new discoveries about nature, and cooking over an open fire, Nina soon comes to love living out in the woods.

It's Nina's first camping trip and she vows to be the most helpful camper ever by helping the family pack. But all her ideas and deeds are either overlooked or don't work out as the adults scramble to be on the road before dark.

After weeks with no rain, Nina's favorite tree in the courtyard is drooping. She teams up with her friends to heal the tree and make it feel loved.

Detective Nina is on the case -when she discovers a peculiar object (a four-sided boomerang) and attempts to find its owner.

When Nina's given a school project to report on a sibling, Carlos tells Nina they can share Nico.

When Nina has difficulty learning a Mexican folk dance, she discovers through Nico that taking time to feel and enjoy the music is just as important as hearing the music.

Nina gives homesick Chelsea a snow party - and learns what winter is like in another part of the world.

When she finds a flower growing in a sidewalk crack, Nina is eager to find a way to savor and share its beauty, and she does -- through photography.

Abuelita is taking Nina to the library to see a railroad exhibit.

Carlos and Nico are going away for a while and have asked Nina to watch Max. However, Max has trouble sitting when Nina asks him to and makes a mess in her room - knocking down a chair, spilling glitter on the floor, and even ruining her painting of Star. Nina and Abuelita Yolie then give him a bath, where he seems to enjoy the hose.

Nina and Abuelita have an important job to do: deliver Mami's famous cakes to Eddie and Mrs. Goldstein. But when Nina tells a fib, cake chaos ensues!

When Nina doesn't want to ride her bike after an accident, Abuelita Yolie, Carlos and Chelsea build her a 'bike school' to get her back on the bike.

In "Nina Dives In," Nina really wants to learn how to swim, but she and Star are afraid of going into the new - and very big - community pool.

In "Nina's Family Museum," when Nina, Mami and Abuelita miss out on a day at the museum, Nina decides to create her own mini-museum - of Flores family history!

Nina learns to be open to new and different things, when she gets the chance to plant her own garden.

When Dr. Kapur, a talented henna artist needs someone to practice on for niece's upcoming wedding, Nina eagerly volunteers. But little did Nina know that waiting for henna to dry is a lot easier said than done.

While Skye is kid-sitting, Nina and Star watch a scary movie about a shadow monster and their imagination gets away from them.

When Nina wants to learn how to properly throw a baseball, she asks her dad, a former star high-school pitcher nicknamed El Bola De Fuego, to teach her. But Papi is upset his pitching aim is now WAY off so Nina decides to help her poor dad out.

Determined to uncover the best home possible for her newly rescued frog-pal, Nina disrupts the peace and quiet at the library.

Nina goes on an adventure to the post office, she becomes the'best delivery girl ever, discovering how packages are mailed to different parts of the world. Sending something 'from the heart' to family that is far away is the next best thing to being there.

When Dr. Kapur's pet bird escapes, Nina and Star team up with their friends to rescue the music-loving Mynah Bird.

Nina tries to paint a picture for a school art project but has such high expectations, she has trouble getting inspired on what to paint. After a frustrating attempt, Nina is disappointed with what she paints, but to her surprise, others seem to like it.

Nina wants to grow taller, but eventually she realizes there are positives for her current size.

Nina and Carlos realize they don't need to be superheroes to be amazing - they can be helpful heroes and be just as awesome.

Nina is so eager to help Abuelita recover from a cold that she neglects to ask Abuelita what she needs yo feel better.

Nina is disappointed that she isn't going on a big adventure like TioJavier - but with a little imagination, she and Abuelita have their own adventure around the block.

Nina wants her sixth birthday to be the best birthday ever.
