Greg Heffley directed a film adaption of Patty Ferrell's favorite play, but they transform this beautiful play into a full-out monster movie. Meanwhile, the Beetle Boys try to find out why Rasputin is being so quiet. Guest stars an animated Patty Ferrell from the books "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw", played by Laine MacNeil.
Scrat, Greg Heffley and the rest of your favorite 20th Century Fox characters transform Susan Heffley's car into a remote-controlled race car and enter it into a race. Meanwhile, Rasputin uses his new invention, the Deflatinator, to try to deflate everything in the Tri-State Area, a device curiously mounted to a blimp.
The song "Gitchee, Gitchee, Goo" peformed by Greg Heffley and the Scrat-Tones becomes a one-hit wonder and brings them worldwide fame, while Patty Ferrell wins a chance to sing on stage with them during the auditions for a reality music competition. Meanwhile, Rasputin turns his building into a giant robot to wreak terror upon the Tri-State Area. Guest stars Melissa Joan Hart as Nicole Maris from the 1999 smash hit "Drive Me Crazy".
