The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour is an American variety show starring American pop-singer Cher and her husband, Sonny Bono. The show ran on CBS in the United States, when it premiered in August 1971. The show was canceled May 1974, due to the couple's divorce, though the duo would reunite in 1976 for the identically-formatted The Sonny & Cher Show, which ran until 1977.

1. Sonny and Cher open the show with ""I Couldn't Live Without Your Love"" and banter about Sonny having his family traced. In comedy blackouts, the chief undercover spy for the Confederacy (Cher) leaves home on a dangerous assignment deep behind enemy lines; and reporter Barbara Nauseous (Cher) interviews Telly about having been approached to be a nude centerfold in Women's Lib magazine. 2. ""Lady Luck"" -- A masked stranger (Sonny) tries to rescue Cher from the evil Count of Los Angeles (Danny); an elderly woman (Cher) approaches two men in the park (Sonny and Telly), hoping she might get one of them to walk her dog; and a distressed man (Telly) gets even more bad news from his jinxed wife (Cher). 3.
