Jade throws a Malibu beach party, Juliette gives an impromptu rooftop concert and Rayna tries to save deacon’s life.

The brightest stars of Nashville have gathered in support of Teddy’s music education initiative, “Note By Note,” where Juliette plans her return to the spotlight – and Layla finds herself thrust into it – alongside Jade St. John. At the gala, Rayna, Deacon, Maddie and Daphne get ready to take the stage and perform, but before they can, Deacon receives the call he’s been waiting for containing some life-changing news

Jeff is forced to revisit his past when he is faced with his ex-fiancee. Maddie struggles with the news about Deacon's illness. Juliette is eager to get back to work after the birth of her daughter.

Juliette looks forward to her baby shower filled with celebrity guests, but Rayna must back out of hosting it to help Sadie. Meanwhile, rising star Ron Pope courts records deals with both Bucky and Luke and Scarlett's bond with Dr. Rand rattles Gunnar.

Rayna tries to help Deacon, but her efforts backfire. Meanwhile, Scarlett prepares to open for Rascal Flatts, but her past problems make her fear performing again. Layla grows confused about her relationship with Jeff and Sadie winds up in danger.

The Grand Ole Opry honors Rayna on a special anniversary, so she asks Deacon and her daughters to sing with her. Meanwhile, Will's distressed to be collaborating with a gay man on a songwriting project and Sadie shares her private ordeal on national TV.

After Rayna reveals Jeff's indiscretions to the board members, Edgehill Republic begins to fall apart. Deacon considers a clinical trial. Scarlett reconnects with Gunnar. Juliette poses for a magazine spread.

Rayna learns about Jeff's plan to sign Maddie to Edgehill. Luke and Gunnar come up with some revenge songs.

Rayna attempts to shrug off rumors about her and Luke's breakup as she gets ready to return to the stage.

Luke and Rayna's daughters are not happy to learn the wedding has been canceled.

Rayna is feeling conflicted about leaving the children behind to go back on tour. Sadie runs into a former partner.

Rayna broadcasts a Christmas special from her home and has the chance to perform at Winterfest.

While attending the 48th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Rayna discovers Luke's prenuptial agreement.

Rayna increases her publicity by singing on "Dancing With the Stars" and having a reporter follow her, but she then soon misses her privacy. Juliette finds it hard to deal with single parenthood.

A health scare sees Juliette asking Avery if he wants to be a part of the baby's life.

Juliette is concerned about filming a sex scene while attempting to hide her pregnancy. Kiley makes plans to leave town whilst a homeless man manages to make an impact on Scarlett.

Rayna wants Sadie to sign to her label and entices her with a girls' day out. Juliette is unable to hide her pregnancy symptoms any longer.

Juliette attempts to hide a secret that could stop her from getting a role in a film.

Rayna attempts to use some new publicity opportunities to promote her album and the record label.

Rayna has to choose between two men and two directions her life might take.
