Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Well, here we are, 4 years later. It was a hell of a ride, with a rather weak first season, but after that, it went up like Chopper when he was angry (again). The Series is for every Star Wars Fan. The old ones, who grew up with the classic ones, the middle ones, who watched the Prequels and Clone Wars, and the younger ones, who came into the Star Wars Universe with Episode VII.Heck, they even tried (and imo, managed) to satisfy all the Haters, who hate on Disney for making the old Expanded Universe non canon. They brought one of the most beloved Chars from those "Legends" into Canon, and with him a certain race of aliens (although they never told their name so far...maybe in the last episodes now...) The Animations, imo, is spot on and reminds me so much of the old, classic movies. I also love the design of everything, how they made this fine jump from the flashy Clone Wars to the rather simple and dirty Civil War Era.The Characters are all likeable, and each of them gets over the course of the series his moments to shine and improve. True, they are pretty arch-type like, with The Knight, the Rouge, the Brute, the Marksman and the Leader. But exactly this is what's makes them so great in my Opinion. It's typical Star Wars, its a saga, a Story between good and evil, and even though Obi Wan once mentioned, that only the Sith deal in absolutes, its always about this: a clear line for all the chars. You see one, and you know "Oh, hes a good guy" or "That one definitely will screw them up big times, but helps them in the end" or even "She pure evil. End of Story" And that's ok. That's Star Wars. And as a die hard Fan since the Special Edition came out (I was 12 back then) I wouldn't have it any other way.So, do I recommend this series? YES. Absplutely. Not only for the answers you may get, that where open from The Clone Wars Series, but also to be soaked into this magical universe once more. Or as a great Start for one to get into it. May the Force be with you

The show is low quality. It drags a lot and has no tension. The animation is low quality. Many of the episodes are repetitive and boring. It panders to hard to younger audiences. It uses original trilogy nostalgia a lot. Its clear that no one can stop the protagonists. The storm troopers and death troopers can't hit them and other more powerful characters from the movies and books are stupid. The humor is off and childish. Most of the characters are annoying.

Devoid of most mature themes this is a good children's show...ONLYThe Lion King had more mature themes, so i know its possible to insert mature themes into kids shows.first off the best characters on this show are Kanan and Hera...and followed closely by returning mature characters, which i wont spoil...i say this since, they are written like real people would be... not spastic children with intermittent amnesia, which itself seems to be dependent on the laziness of the writers in that episode. The show is way too inconsistent, esra is by far the worst abuser of the writing style for this series, his character is constantly inconsistent in his Morales his skills, one episode he'l be wiser and opting to save people, the next he's willing to let people die of starvation because something is "hard". This is lazy writing, the writers ruin any growth of character and progress with esra by suddenly making him buffoonish or goofy for the purposes of, usually a small non essential plot point, same with sabine although to a lesser extent. The show is devoid of mature themes and good writing, and thinks it can excuse that by saying "its a kids show" huh-ha!... And it is an excuse for poor writing as some of the characters that appear in the show, young audiences would have NO CLUE who they are or why they are there...they are fan service for the older audience.doing as little as possible and still claim its a show for all ages, which the producers have claimed. That is primarily what bugs most of the people that are fans of the old show, and why you see such bad reviews for it here. If your a tiny baby child(8 or 7) or a parent looking for a good childs show for your son/daughter its excellent...no killing, no mature themes, just shiny colors and sounds.... it is Y7 rating after allif your even moderately literate and read sci-fi books as a 10yo+ (like i did, not many tbh) you will find it bland comparatively , that's probably the second most insulting part of the show its so dumb even for a kids show, its a bit of an insult to a child's intellectlike i said in the opening "the lion king" had more mature themes. it can be done, they're just lazy, look at the production values as well....the animation is ghastly, the recurring VO's omg! are just annoying i swear there are just 3-4 storm troopers in the whole universe and they all quickly run around the galaxy to wherever esra is."we want a good show, but we don't want to spend a lot of money on it" seems to be the motto...

(THE ONLY GOOD EPISODES ARE LISTED AT BOTTOM)The biggest problem is the writing. The people who wrote this were the writers of the Clone Wars series, which, newsflash...was not a kids show. It was very dark and violent. Now they are given a TV-Y7 rating cap on it, and literally just don't know what to do with it. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind shows that are TV-Y7, when they are done correctly, ex. Transformers Prime. But this one is just done poorly. As a result of the TV-Y7 rating, there's rarely any deaths, with the only ones being off screen or implied, and the fighting is really bland. Also the empire is completely incompetent and serves no real threat. And its so campy. The writers have just resorted to thinking: "People are gonna keep watching it no matter how terrible it is." So they're just lazy. They never take any risks. (Except for the 5 episodes at the bottom)The worst part: The main characters. They're just so stupid and campy. Except Hera (twilek pilot) and Kanan (former Jedi knight) had really good potential and are still good characters, and I wish the series focused on them. Unfortunately, it focuses on Ezra. This whiny little kid who is force sensitive and can't make a single wise decision, not mention through all the series and his Jedi training, his character hasn't developed at all. Zeb (talking Chewbacca knockoff) is just annoying and one dimensional. Sabine (mandalorian...graffiti artist) had great potential but they ruined her too.The dialogue in this show sounds like it was written by a 9 year old. The animation sucks. All of people tell me to "give it time", like how "the first season of the Clone Wars and its movie had those same problems." The difference is...Clone Wars got its crap together by the end of its first season. Rebels is now at the beginning of the 4th season and it hasn't improved a thing. I just can't wait til its over.If you want to save your time and watch the only good episodes, here they are:S02 E01 Siege of Lothal ; S02 E21 Twilight of the Apprentice ; S03 E06 The Last Battle ; S03 E20 Twin Suns ; S03 E21/22 Zero HourSadly, these episodes have Ezra in them. Just try to ignore him. But these episodes have really powerful moments in them, its sad that the rest of the series sucks so much.
