This movie was a mixed bag for me. Most low budget gangster movies follow rules. All Black and Latin actors, inner city story, bad lines, bad acting, and fake looking gangsters.Consignment broke most of those rules. Cast had a lot different faces in it that surprised the hell out of me. Black, Latin, Native American, Asian, and White. That was really cool. Never thought I would see a fellow Native American in a gangster movie as a outlaw biker. LOL Story took it out of standard inner city moving it out to the suburbs where mid-level dealers are shaking and baking. Ask anyone in Dallas. Suburbs got it moving. There were really cool lines that might go over peoples heads that don't know what they mean. Watched Consignment w/ my lady and she said what are they talking about? Writer has knowledge.Bad acting is bad acting on 200 million dollar movie or low budget movie. Consignment has three actors that brought it down. They were bad bad. I sighed when they came on my TV.Consignment strong points. Story moves fast. Action. Beautiful women. Mixed cast. Picture/sound are tight. Nice soundtrack. Great Ending!Consignment weak points. Three bad actors. Two parts that were directed bad looked chopped together. See for yourself.

Consignment is a action packed low budget film about drug dealing. There has been a flood of gangster films like these recently. The strong point of this film was the feel of realism in the story. I enjoyed watching a story about drug dealers and gangsters that did not have a housing project as a setting. Consignment did not show the typical inner city side of drug dealing often portrayed on screen. I liked the fact Writer and Director Sid Kali showed a different side to things. Drug dealers do live in the suburbs as well as the big city. I think Jerome Hawkins gave a break out performance as trigger happy gangster Carmelo. It was surprising to me that an unknown actor could be as good as he was in the film. One thing I really enjoyed seeing was a wide mix of characters through out. That's not the norm in straight to DVD gangster films. Extremely colorful cast. I liked the story. Most of all it wasn't too long. It was crisp and to the point. It didn't waste my time as a viewer. One of the more sexy parts has an extended striptease done by a curvy latina with a great rear. I don't think I ever recall seeing that long of striptease in another film. Clearly not a scene for the kiddies to watch. This ranked high as a low budget for me. The overall production quality was better than many straight to DVD offerings. Like another reviewer commented the soundtrack was really good. Exceptionally good. Low budget films can be hard to judge because we are all used to expensive Hollywood offerings with stars. I viewed Consignment a with a critical eye and was not disappointed in renting it. As a latino I appreciated the realism of a few of the words spoken in slang Spanish. It wasn't clichéd or cheesy to fit the mold of what you expect to get from a low budget gangster film. Writer and Director Sid Kali understood his subject enough to deliver an entertaining film.I was highly disappointed in a few of the scenes that involved the main character Tommy and his wife. I never felt that they had a connection that expressed true love. I did feel for Tommy when he was struggling. Tim Beachum as Tommy was believable and likable even though he was a drug dealer. It could have been making him laid back while dealing with panic disorder. Overall this wasn't in the league of Hustle & Flow, but still worth renting.

I loved this full out gangster movie. It's loaded with action. Story moved quick with no let downs. Consignment had some of the most real characters I've seen in a little bit. I gotta say the striptease in this movie was FANTASTIC. The dance, the grind, the moves were electric. Too many glossy fake movies about drug dealing out there that miss the mark. Consignment landed a bullseye. What I really liked to see was the mixed cast of characters represented. You had Black, White, Latino, Asian, and Native American faces shown. That was hot to see. Another surprise was the soundtrack. I got my DVD off Amazon. Wherever you get it you check it out.

Consignment is a legit movie about the game. Gets down with the dirty business of dealing speed and killing to keep your respect. One of the more real gangsta movies I've checked out in a while. It has a Black and Latino hook that was real tight. Good to see that spin. This is fresh cuz the way the people spoke and acted rang true. At least a dozen people getting smoked or smoking somebody. Like they say smoke or get smoked. The strip show on this DVD is unbelievable. Some thumping hip hop reggaeton music plays while this hottie dances losing clothes as she goes. That was like a super hot bonus. There are some real bad cats in this joint. I watched Consignment a few times already. If you like movies about drug dealing on the street this is your ticket. Don't skip the deleted scenes on this one cuz they are smoking hot! This is a real strong movie repping the street.
