Les mauvais joueurs (2005)
Paris, le quartier du Sentier. Noël approche et la vie de Vahé Krikorian part à vau-l'eau. La boutique de son père, avec qui il travaille, va bientôt fermer. Trop de dettes et d'impayés. Lu Ann, la femme qu'il aime, le quitte et il sent bien que les arnaques au bonneteau qu'il pratique avec Sahak et son frère Toros ne vont pas le mener loin.

i must have seen a different film!!
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Blistering performances.
It doesn't look like this, but it is actually a film noir. "A la française", but a film noir. It takes place in Paris, in the middle of Les Halles district, garment jungle of Paris. Some petty hoods fight among themselves about girl, honor, revenge. It reminds me another french movie: FUREUR, 2003. A Turkish man in love with a Chinese girl, big shots who want to take control of the racket business in the neighbourhood, and you have exactly everything that kind of feature need to be a good crime movie. Players are effective, especially Simon Abkarian at his best.Don't miss it.
