So much average
How sad is this?
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Despite a disconcerting title, Dogwoman enjoyably combines mystery, comedy and romance. Margaret O'Halloran (Dogwoman) has many of the characteristics we cherish in a dog: Determination, faithfulness and the need to smell everything. At times there seems to be just as many dogs in this film as there are people. Thus, dog lovers should appreciate it.Set in the Australian bush, the film manages to depict the essence of rural living. I don't know how the film makers managed it, but many of the characters appear to be based on my neighbors, and I live in rural Norway. In summary, Dogwoman offers an evening of enjoyable entertainment.
