Fascination Amour (1999)
Lau is a spoiled playboy who’s on fiancée number 8 - and makes sport of getting rid of them. With his entourage (including an amusing Anthony Wong) in tow, he boards the cruise ship Fascination with the intent of ridding himself of his latest set-up. However, he didn’t count on falling for heiress Sandy who is - no surprise here - the only girl who can withstand his “money buys all” attitude. Things aren’t that simple - she’s losing her fortune and won’t let money buy her. Lau must prove that he can be a normal guy so he follows her ashore with a backpack and $10 in his pocket.

Just perfect...
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Rich man and is entourage take a poor girl on a sea cruise because he's suppose to be married and his mother keeps fixing him up. He plans on giving her a blow off but find himself falling for her. The usual complications arise.(more or less) Okay romantic comedy, is actually not a bad time killer. The problem is that it has the feel of a film that was made by the numbers rather than because any one cared. Its not bad, but at the same time I wish I had connected more...then again I will probably watch it again which says a great deal.6 out of 10
