Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
I was so happy to find this at my local library. It is great to have these folks on stage once again. Who knows how much longer they will be around? The backing band really gets the sound of the original recordings in the live performances. The audience was really getting into the concert as well. Many singing along and some teary eyes, too. Highlights for me were Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Reflections, The Fleetwoods, Bobby Lewis, Lou Christie and Jay and the Americans. This is my second favorite concert, right after the "Concert for George"I don't see this available on DVD anymore. That is a shame. Check your local libraries and maybe you'll get lucky. There is a companion video to this one called "American Soundtrack: Rhythm, Love and Soul" that is also outstanding!
