There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

***SPOILERS*** Pretty Elizabeth Clybourn accidentally had her brains blown out in a sorority initiation ceremony while playing a fake game, with a blank in the chamber, of Russian Roulette with a one shot derringer no less. It was her music loving father Edmond who then planned to find the person who slipped the live bullet into the gun that killed her. That on the 7th anniversary of his daughters death Edmound now known as Crazy Eddie sent invitations to the girls at the initiation, unsigned of course, with $500.00 in each letter for them to show up on this out of the way place for a what was thought to be an all night orgy into the wee morning hours. What Crazy Eddie's invitation to the girls and the two guys, Joe & Mark, who tagged along was really a death trap to kill everyone who was at his daughter fatal initiation ceremony! With the two unsuspecting guys, who had nothing to do with it, just for good measures or to hike up the body count!Arthur Franz as the crazed Edmound "Crazy Eddie" Clybourn has planned this get together for the girls for some seven years and during that time he lost it to the point that he's by now completely divorced from reality. That in his insane hatred of the girls whom he holds responsible for his beautiful blond daughter Elizabeth's death. Unknown to the girls Crazy Eddie has a partner or collaborator among them thats how secretly helping him set them up for the kill. What the wild and crazy guy doesn't quite realize is the true reasons for Eizabeth's death which will come as a great shock to him when finds them out. That when finally reviled makes the guy even more crazier,if that's at all possible, then he already is!***SPOILERS*** Taking his time Crazy Eddie Clybourn finishes off the girls as well as one of the guys, guess which one, who was there looking for action but only ended up fried. That until only two of the original five sorority members were still left alive. It's then that the truth came out to what was really behind Elizabeth death. His driving her crazy, like himself, with him forcing her to listen to his music, mostly classical, and flute playing which she greatly detested. By then the game of death that he was playing had lost its punch! With it now having no meaning at all to the nut case he then just went plain bananas and started wildly shooting, with his home made Gatling gun,at the messenger of the bad news. Only to end up getting himself killed together with his secret partner, one of the girls, who set the whole crazy plan of his up! for him But were in, like in most of these kinds of low or even big budgeted horror films, for a big surprise at the very end. Which by then there's really nothing left in the movie that could possibly surprise us!

When a movie opens with an execution style murder the last thing you might expect is that this is going to be a bloodless tease-fest. Sisters of Death is just that. Contrary to some of the reviews here, Liz Clybourn is not killed from a Russian roulette initiation ceremony. That would involve a single bullet loaded into a single chamber of a revolver. Liz is shot when a live round is loaded into a single-shot derringer instead of, one assumes, a blank. The purpose of this ceremony remains a mystery but somehow the sisters are not charged with murder. Fast forward seven years and the remaining five members, Judy, Sylvia, Diana, Francie, and Penny, are invited to a reunion by a mysterious individual somewhere in the southwest. The women meet and are escorted by two men, Paul and Joe, who are hired to transport the ladies to the mystery location. Once they arrive at a private estate the ladies begin to unwind a little and enjoy the pool complete with new bathing suits for each of them. Paul and Joe sneak back into the estate because, well, they're men and that's exactly what I'd do, and soon the seven of them party into the next day. Not is all as it seems as the mystery guest abruptly introduces himself amongst most assuredly many hangovers as Liz's father, Edmond Clybourn. Suffice to say he has not gotten over his daughter's murder and intends to expose her death as not a mistake but rather the evil machinations of one of the sisters. They become trapped inside the estate as it is surround by an activated electric fence. Panic ensues and intelligence drops as the guests are knocked off one by one. How do you cast a playboy playmate, the beautiful Claudia Jennings, and not show off some skin? All of the women are attractive and are constantly clad in either a bikini or negligee. I have to admit that nudity would really have helped me enjoy this movie more since the first forty minutes is boring as hell. Once the women realize that they are each being hunted down by a crazed father bent on revenge they immediately lose any and all common sense like sleeping in separate rooms. Stupid! The deaths are as bland as you would expect of a PG rating. I do give credit to the ending. I liked it and it made perfect sense to me. Too mild for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed this on the Disney channel.

Sisters of Death, is a 70s horror film. Only the monsters in the film, aren't creatures. They're humans, with twisted ulterior motives, and intentions of brutal vengeance. The plot revolves around a reunion of the 'Sisters', a group of young women who formed the Sisters Sorority at their school. Several years before their reunion, one of the Sisters was killed during an initiation rite, which involved a game of Russian Roulette. After this tragedy, the other Sisters get on with their lives, without really keeping in close contact with one another. A few years pass. Then the surviving Sisters, all get written invitations to participate in a reunion. None of them can figure out who sent these invitations, or why.The invitations instruct them to meet-up at a central location. Once there, the Sisters are approached by two men. The men explain to the Sisters, that they are there to take them to the exact location of the reunion. They claim that they're doing this, because it's a job that they were paid by someone else to do. Once there, the Sisters all see a welcoming banner, and a huge buffet of food and wine. The place is a seemingly empty, gorgeous mansion. Just one thing seems really weird-the place is closed off from the outside, by a tall electric fence. The Sisters all enjoy the food and drinks the first day, and catch-up on old times. They do have an underlying unease, about the deserted old mansion though. And whoever sent the reunion invitations leaves them all bewildered, trying to figure out who it was. Soon, the Sisters go into high-alert-mode, after they start getting killed-off, one-by-one. Turns out that they were invited to the mansion, by the father of the Sister who got killed during the initiation. And he's hell-bent, on avenging what he believes to be his daughter's murder. The film seethes with a spine-tingling tension, as each Sister tries to avoid becoming the next murder victim. The movie does get bogged-down, in excessive melodrama. But over-the-top theatrics, was the signature of 70s B movies, like this one. And this is just what made these films, such a guilty pleasure to watch. The performances were mainly mediocre. Except for the riveting performance by Paul Franz, as the deranged, vengeful father. Claudia Jennings as Judy, also stood-out amongst the rest of the cast. In this film, Claudia was only a supporting character. But, she manages to steal every scene she's in.Nail-biting suspense and surprising plot-twists, make Sisters of Death an above-average slice of 70s film-cheese. I've seen better horror dramas, and I've seen worse. But this movie will do just fine, for fans of low-budget, 70s damsels-in-distress films.

In the same vein as Ten Little Indians, Sister's of Death does the 'invitation' thing some years before Paul Lynch's Prom Night and even before Class Reunion Massacre from 1976.Sorority girls are holding their initiation for two inductees that involves a pistol/murder in which one of the 'Sisters' would load the gun, place it to the inductee's head and pull the trigger. Of course, the blank bullet is just supposed to make a loud noise and that's it. But, in this case, it splatters the girls brains and the rest is history.Anyway, it's a few years down the road and the ex-sorority girls receive and invitation and five hundred bucks to attends a 'Sister's' reunion. They are supposed to meet in a designated spot where two guys with a beat-up station wagon (with sheets over the windows) are to pick them up and take the them to their destination, where they themselves are to make a couple hundred bucks. After all the girls finally make it, the two guys drive the girls to their location. one of the guys talks his friend into staying and partying with the girls and soon learn they're stranded on the property. An electric fence keeps them on the premises while an unknown specter roams throughout the mansion spying and doing away with the girls one by one.Sister's of Death is a film that does a lot of cliché' things before it was cool to do so. The acting is surprisingly good for a drive-in caliber flick. There's copious amounts of cheese that accompanies the actions and dialog of our characters, and a twist ending that I never saw coming. Just who is it that is taking the girls out one by one? Just whose revenge mode is set on high and what lengths will they go through to extend their murderous rage? Watch and see.
