It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Some actors are rehearsing for a play penned by an author who had committed suicide. A play that hadn't been able to open without tragedy befalling anyone who tried bringing it to the stage. Now an unseen killing is murdering those involved in this rendition in this low-budget slasher murder mystery. This movie was merely all right for such a low budget film. Yes it had it's fair share of problem, sloppy editing, less then stellar actors, crappy special effects chief among them, but the film moved along at a fairly fast clip and I didn't feel my mind wandering to other things too often. Far better than "Bonesetter Returns" which was truly and utterly awful. My Grade: D+
Well, this was certainly a better movie than Bonesetter Returns. The story was interesting and the acting was far superior.Actors start dying off while trying to do a "cursed" play. When we finally learn the reason behind the murders, hey, wait a minute, who killed the janitor? Yes, we are left with a mystery that was not solved. Shame on you, Brett. That's not fair! I enjoyed the movie - except for the end. I am really looking forward to see how Kelly does with his next film and a different person writing.
