Talk about a blatant rip off of the Jurassic Park movies!!! It would be forgivable if only it was a good movie. Did not happen! Thew whole plot of the movie seemed to be let us see how much fake gore and guts we can throw out there. The acting was sub par in general and terrible with a couple of the characters. Your security chief is off banging the maintenance guy when things start to go wrong, the owner is a total tool and his brother-in-law is a louse. Most of the employees think there are only two cats but as the movie drags on there is a third, crippled one and at the end I guess the two mobile ones had kits judging by the last scene. gosh I sure hope there isn't a sequel. I sure won't watch it. The cats are bulimic so they kill, puke, and kill some more. Okay, if they can't keep food down how are they still alive? That was never addressed in the movie. A really poorly done movie.

Attack of the Sabretooth is set on a remote Fijian island named Valalola where the greedy owner Niles (Nicholas Bell) has invited lots of rich investors to his island resort in the hope of making them part with large sums of cash for a stake in his revolutionary Primal Animal Park attraction. Niles has developed a way to clone animals from DNA & in a moment of inspiration decided to clone some killer Sabretooth tigers which he intends to be the star attractions of Primal Animal Park & have people flocking there from the world over. Unfortunately inept security guards & resort employees means all the gates to the Sabretooth enclosure have been opened & thanks to some annoying American teens on holiday the entire security system is down after they decide to steal some things but don't want to be caught on camera. That all means the killer flesh eating Sabretooth tigers are free to roam the island & eat anyone they come across including Niles & his rich guest's...This Australian & American co-production was directed by George Miller (no, not that Goerge Miller who made the Mad Max & Babe films, the other George Miller who made the Dog befriends Dolphin 'comedy' Zeus and Roxanne (1997) with Steve Guttenberg no less) & is your typical terrible Sci-Fi Channel Creature Feature Jurassic Park (1992) rip-off that is maybe a little gorier than expected but no less stupid or dumb. Where do I start? Well, the beginning of Attack of the Sabretooth features a security guard reading a porn magazine, a page from which blows into the Sabretooth enclosure so he open the gate & wanders in to get it back but just ends up getting killed by the Sabretooth which serves the fat git right. I mean would you venture into an area full of killer Sabretooth tigers for a page from a porn magazine? The dumbness doesn't stop there either, from the character's to the not so special effects Attack of the Sabretooth works best as an unintentional comedy rather than a tense horror thriller. The character's are all uniformly dumb, the teens are just annoying while the guards deserve to die. To be fair to it the pace is decent enough & the kills were quite gory but that's hardly any recommendation for sitting through the rest of sloppy, badly made Creature Feature.Apparently intended to be some sort of sequel to the Sci-Fi Channel's earlier Sabretooth (2002) the two were written by the same guy & to save costs effects shots & GCI was reused from Sabretooth which says it all really. There's some alright gore here, a guy has his arm ripped off & he's seen staggering around spurting blood everywhere, there are plenty of bitten off severed limbs & decapitated head as well as one of the most ridiculous death scenes for a villain ever when a huge CGI Sabretooth tooth falls & impales Niles through the mouth in a scene that is so badly put together with awful effects & choppy editing it becomes strangely funny. There's no tension to any of the attacks or scares, a Sabretooth will just appear without any sort of warning & then disappear just as suddenly in some very lazy kill scenes. The CGI computer effects are predictably bad, they are truly awful at times in fact.I IMDb says this had a budget of about $2,800,000 but I really don't believe that, it looks a lot lower budgeted than that. Filmed in Lautoka in Fiji & while some of the aerial shots are alright the makers waste the scenery.Attack of the Sabretooth is basically Jurassic Park with the possible tourist attraction on a remote island made up of extinct creatures brought back to life through genetic scene that eventually cause all sorts of havoc & mayhem but isn't anywhere near as good. Standard Sci-Fi Channel Creature Feature junk.

Everything about this film is hog wash. Pitiful acting, awful dialog, ugly native girls. this movie sinks into oblivion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The director must have been a weekend bender. Robert C. is totally lost and has not got a clue on what is going on . The college kids are worst. No acting talent at all, very stupid reasoning, and just down right dumbbells. Special effects are for the birds. The so called security force around this park belongs in toy land: with stupid looking guns, walkie talkies that are useless; and a computer system that ranks with a roll of toilet paper. if the park is under construction and nothing works; why bother inviting potential clients until everything is complete. the writers should be the first victims of the mess along with the producers and the crew. The whole film belongs in a septic tank shot to another planet for viewing. What a gem. Convicts should have to watch this, so they can commit suicide.
