When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

In an era where it seems like the horror genre has been filled with slasher flicks that compete with one another to elicit an ever-escalating shock value, it feels nice to use one's brain to follow a worthwhile horror story. Michael Merino's touches bring out a little Hitchcock, and I found the movie highly entertaining. Regen Wilson does an especially nice job in his supporting role. In my opinion definitely worth the price of a movie ticket to own this one!" SHAMROCK 76. Keep an eye out for THE HAUNTING of PEARSON PLACE at film festivals worldwide or you can purchase it on line at Amazon or at the production companies website.

I was at the private screening in Washington, DC for The Haunting of Pearson Place last evening and I have to say I don't recall the last time I had so much fun at the movies! Hollywood take notes...these filmmakers have you in their sights! The Direction, story, acting and photography were excellent. As an artist ( I work in oils) I particularly loved the camera work. Tom Benca the D/P has a fantastic eye, and his skills are second to none. I've seen Hollywood films that look like they were shot by a group of blind monkeys working in the dark...this film is not the case. It's beautiful, and I loved it!If and when this film goes into wide release, rent it, buy it, see it...you will not be disappointed! I LOVED IT...smart, scary and sizzling.

This movie blew me away. I was expecting a slasher film and what I got was so much more!!! The direction, the writing and the camera work were just great, really beautiful in fact. All the actors were interesting, not one weak link among any of them, if only all "horror films" had such a strong and intelligent cast. The writing/story really kept my attention, I couldn't wait to see how it all played out. I payed $15 bucks to see a Hollywood film just two nights ago, and I wanted my money back. But with The Haunting of Pearson Place, i would have paid twice as much to see it. Just a smooth and creepy film. And right up my alley. I'm giving it a 10 simply because I just had so much fun watching the movie, and it made me smile as I recalled it later...when's the last time you could say that about a Hollywood movie? Thumbs way up!

This was a very well thought out and original film, first one must understand that this is a Psychological Thriller like THE SHINING. The Divine Comedy is used as this films basis as to one is a prisoner in purgatory or the different levels of hell for their earthly vices consisting of the seven deadly sins. Therefore in Lehman's terms if you indulged in lustful deeds during your life, you will be surrounded by unwanted lust for all eternity. This is a movie that gets better the more times you watch it, every time you pick up something new, a clue of shorts to tell the story of Pearson Place. Whether its a journal, a photo, or a set of keys, foreshadowing is inserted to the mind of the viewer. Furthermore when a new clue is discovered in a follow up viewing you're saying to yourself, "isn't that smart, alright I get it." What I liked mostly about this film is the "ghosts" are in human form, unlike other thrillers where the ghosts are mutilated, don't speak, glow a specific color and float. The ghosts in this film are physically attractive and walk around like they're amongst the living. Very good movie to turn out the lights, make a big bowl of popcorn and get out the trusted security blanket, you may need to cover up for certain parts.
