Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

Being a Bengali,i love watching Bengali movies but watching Amitabh Bachchan in an English movie is a treat. And one more thing which attract me towards this movie The Last Lear is Priety Zinta. The way she dressed, her makeup, she carries herself beautifully.I find her very beautiful in saaries with a big bindi on her forehead. She looks so beautiful in the movie, the funniest thing is i used to copy her most of the time but can't look exactly like her.For me,she is the most beautiful actress in our bollywood. The movie is based on Shakespeare's play, the way Rituparno explains the story of Harish played by Amitabh Bachchan is just mind blowing. All must watch the movie, the movie can't be missed.

The Last Lear will give you the chills, but in a good way. There is so much to appreciate about The Last Lear; some remarkably written scenes for one. The Last Lear is a very intelligently made movie. The movie directed by Rituparno Ghosh stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role of Harry.Amitabh gives a performance full of passion. Each scene has been very nicely executed making it a pleasure to watch be it when the three women are dealing with their frustrations in the middle of the night or when Amitabh and Arjun are trying to stop people from urinating in public areas. The emotions are beautifully relayed across the screen. The last lear is a film that should not be missed for anything.

The Last Lear is a very decent movie made by Rituparno Ghosh. The film was released in English by Planman Motion Pictures. It is a very good film where every actor has given a very good performance..The Last Lear is the story of an aged theater personality who claims to have set the stages ablaze with his performances. The kind of actor who considers himself too good simply because he just cannot be bad. Each and every scene has been beautifully shot and the emotions of actors are beautifully relayed across the screen. Rituparno Ghosh has made a brilliant art film that can not be replaced easily.Who haven't watched this kind of movie surely gonna love it.

I have seen Rituparno's Dosar and find that movie amazing, despite of be in Black and White,he always takes risk as taken in this movie, the movie is an art film which most of the people don't like to see but this movie, everyone should watch.Everyone in this film are really nice and have produced great performance.Be it Arjun,Preity Zinta or Shefali Shah. All are superb.Amitabh Bachchan is exceptionally talented and needs no words to describe his performance. Rituparno as a director is awesome in the last lear. The emotions are beautifully relayed across the screen. Those who can easily stretch their imagination find the movie amazing.
