what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

The Legendary Heneral Luna will NEVER be compared to this useless film. Yeah, it's bloody 9.2 because of the propaganda cult. But what if we won't believe in the Iglesia crap? It's a battle of different beliefs and this movie failed to enlighten different kinds of spirituality in people. Instead, it made non-Iglesias enraged because of the stupidity that was shown.I had to walk out of the theater within 20 min. If you don't believe me, see for yourself. Just don't regret it.Iglesia is Networking. Not even close to religion.Film is a waste of time.

1. Great cinematography with historical effect all through out 2. Great choices of actors and actresses. Convincing acts, very eloquent delivery of speeches 3. Story line was intellectual and very poetic as if watching Shakespearean 4. The movie showed Filipino culture. Focused on small details that involved culture and the transition of fashion, language, transportation, and the role of women in those times. 5. The movie displayed a lot of filipino characteristics as well such as perseverance, hard work, Godliness, family ties, bullying, grouping and envy. All in all its a great movie to watch. Waiting for the uncut version on DVD.

I was really moved when watching the movie, it is not because I'm already a member of INC but there were things I never knew before and realized how tragic they've gone through by worshiping God during Japanese regimen. This movie will really inspire everyone not only INC members to push through on what you believed in and keeping faith on God is the greatest thing that we need to have in everyday's life. I am glad how Dennis Trillo portrays the role as "FELIX MANALO" as he did it very great. Everyone should know how many religious sectors he had joined to seek for truth until God directs him to the true church which already written in the bible. Bela Padilla perfectly portrays as "Honorata Manalo" as she shows her full support on her husband in finding the true religion which is the INC. Hopefully you both will be part of us in the future.

This movie experience was awful. So boring that i had to leave early from the theater.I won't recommend this to any of my friends. The story is so dull and the story progression takes so long it like an "are we there yet?" experience. I really think this is all BS, "last messenger"? Are you kidding me? This is just an example of how one wants to be high and mighty, more like a leader of a cult that is. To be honest I wouldn't have watch this if I wasn't required to. So much hype with this movie that it resulted with such disappointment. Can't believe i wasted money on this. I'd rather watch "heneral Luna" if I wanted to watch an interesting biopic. The history about that movie is more important than this one. Not worth the time.
