I Want Your Money (2010)
Two versions of the American dream now stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earned as yours and best allocated by you; the other believes that an elite in Washington knows best how to allocate your wealth. One champions the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one's lot in life and even daring to dream and build big. The other holds that there is no end to the "good" the government can do by taking and spending other peoples' money in an ever-burgeoning list of programs. The documentary film I Want Your Money exposes the high cost in lost freedom and in lost opportunity to support a Leviathan-like bureaucratic state.

Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike
Admirable film.
A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
This is pure propaganda and not the entertaining kind either. As in all propaganda the statements that are presented as fact are half truths. The fact that Nixon, Regan and G. W. Bush's administrations were responsible for the biggest budget deficits in history was not even mentioned. This is pure fascist propaganda brought to you by the same people that have been pushing religion and any other mid evil practices they can come up with. There is no question that a small amount of money and time was spent on this project. If the premise was really fair and unbalanced then it could have been a good piece instead it is heavily biased and while the bias is subtle at first it becomes evident as the film wears on.
It is good to hear more information/history on the US. With so much media around trying to persuade our minds, it is refreshing to hear from the other side as to what may be really happening, because ultimately how well we are informed is how we vote, and how we vote determines our prosperous or pathetic future. There were some impressive patriotic passages from Reagan. I wish more of the 'rewritten history' examples were discussed in more detail to expose their who, what and why. School teachers from the past have encouraged students to seek from all media ... " When you read/hear any piece of media, the article SHOULD answer two questions ... 1) who is going to make money from what is about to happen, and 2) who is going to gain power from what is about to happen. If the media does not answer those two questions, then you are being lied to." I would also say that if it does not answer those two question, it is media propaganda, or media BS/brainwashing.
Most of the ratings here are negative, but hey, what can you do? All of the major news media are Liberal, with the exception of Fox and a few select radio shows that are still on the air waves.Socialism sucks and it doesn't work, it's been proved time and time again. This movie was made simple so the Lefties can even understand it. It illustrates the fundamental differences between the two sides. Hopefully, at some point President Hussein will stop pointing the finger at Bush and start taking responsibility for his own actions. It's comical really... what is our major problem... THE ECONOMY. What does President Hussein do? Virtually nothing except force feed us a healthcare system, so he can stamp his name on it. What a waste of time.All of our current problems started with Jimmy Carter, and then Clinton and Bush. Now we have Carter Jr./Obama. What a lying joker this guy is.Great show, and I appreciate the director of this gem. Thank you.
Very simple message backed up with facts and speeches from Democrats and Republicans...I do feel that you can't tax your way to prosperity..it has to come from tax relief to the business sector...Democrats don't realize that and so they continue with stimulus packages. I did like the 9.5 million going to finding Aliens from out of space...and they can't close off the borders to aliens coming through Mexico into America. This is insane government at it's best. When you leave you will know both sides of the political street...Nov 2 is an important date that will decide the course of America into the future...as Obama said, That is what elections are for..
