Gatling Pictures' "Cure for Pain: The Mark Sandman Story" examines the life and work of Mark Sandman, deceased frontman of Boston "low rock" band Morphine. A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

Ben Harper describing Morphine - perfectly. You gotta hand it to him. 90 min of Morphine overload. Reminded me of The Doors. The man had similar talk, similar music, similar acting. A poet with a mystical charisma. An original being. A genius. Real life, real experience, real music. He lived music, music lived through him. A must see for all the Morphine fans and fans of music in general. If you can, go see it on a big screen with a system. This way you can feel it like a concert. Nice, long music parts, great video inserts, colorful interviews. Nice music, nice poetry, nice people. King of cool, Mr. Sandman. And take a girl. Or you can always find one
