I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

I don't want to say any special words for Satyajit Ray. If I start to say about him & his great & greatest creations, it wouldn't be finished. Lets have some words about Satyajit Ray's Feluda directed by his son Sandip Ray.A detective movie is mainly mystery fiction. Feluda novels was total mystery creations twisted with crime. But Sandip Ray is totally missing this 'mystery' in his films & it also proved in this film there's no word named 'mystery' in his direction. In the very first scene he showed the face of murderer of the dog and let people guess that what is going to be. That ruins the excitement before the movie starts.I think Sandip Ray also has no idea that how to develop a character. At the 2nd part of the movie Rajshekhar Neyogi's character was more strong than Feluda's character & let everyone think about that who is the hero here. And also there was no contribution by character of 'Feluda' in the 2nd part of the movie. This movie is not bad enough but also not good enough as a Feluda film.Feluda is the most popular character by Satyajit Ray. It is always a great experience that watching or reading Satyajit Ray's Feluda. But Sandip Ray is destroying total excitement of it. Even he couldn't develop the character of Feluda properly. He is missing the climax and mystery and flicks in his films. As well as he is destroying his father's most popular creations by his blockheaded film directing.Do you ever expect a Feluda movie rated only 6.9 ?

I am a die hard fan of Feluda. So whenever I see a Feluda movie coming it means a lot of excitement and expectations for me and I got a little bit disappointed with this one. The first half of the movie is as perfect as it could be. Feluda does his usual works in India, spots the bad man but discovers that he can't do anything from India and heads for Hong Kong. The starting scene and the locations were good enough to explain the visuals needed for the story but the modification of the original novel in the second half made me disappointed. Here comes the turn in the story when one of the characters come to Hong Kong to save Feluda and he turns out to be the original savior of the picture that Feluda came to rescue. That made the entire concept of Feluda coming to Honh Kong meaningless. A car chase in the end makes the film a bit modern and utilizes the views of the foreign locations. Some use of martial arts have also been shown and if you are a Feluda fan you have no other option than watch it and viewers who are not familiar with Feluda or haven't read the novel are going to enjoy the movie. So,lots of expectations for the next one.
