Fishing Naked is a comedy. It is a film about four young adults being bad in the woods. They pull Bigfoot hoaxes, scare tourists, disrespect their elders, hook up and smoke dope. That is until they realize there is an alien creature they have inadvertently put in harms way with all the attention they have been attracting to their rural mountain community. As their relationships fray, they hatch a half-baked plot to pull the biggest hoax yet to right their wrongs by deliberately getting caught in the act.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

The title is a clever teaser. It is a head fake, as was much of the film, by design. Amy (Elyse Levesque) fishes topless. Tinsel Korey keeps her clothes on.David (Bronson Pelletier) and Rodney (Evan Williams) fish in the American NW. David is lives with his Native American grandmother (Elaine Miles) who sees green light orbs. As a hobby, the guys don a Big Foot costume and scare tourist, but also attracts media attention and that of the Feds. In the woods, they meet Amy and Jen who join them in their antics. If there is anything as a "B" indie film, this would be it. This is an indie style film, not really aimed at an indie audience. The film attempts to be funny, but has a hard time generating smiles.Guide: Implied sex. Distant nudity with long red hair covering vitals. F-bombs (more than a 3 maximum PG-13 film, but not excessive)

Face it, we all wanted to watch this movie because of the title and the poster, right? So maybe no one gets totally naked but ladies, you do get to see Bronson pretty darn close several times. But forget Bronson for a few minutes, I am totally in love with this guy Evan. I can't find much about him but he is smoking hot! My roommate told me he was in this new RIDE movie, I tried to watch it, Helen Hunt drives me nuts but I didn't see him in the first 10 minutes. I do recommend a couple of glasses of wine and a good sense of humor going into it. The humor is a bit dry but still made me lol several times. Super pretty too. Makes me want to go to the mountains!

I had the pleasure of viewing this movie at a showing in Modesto. On a whim I saw this film without any prior knowledge of it existence. To my surprise I had a very fun outing. The plot, though a little zany and out there was highly entertaining. The actors were decent and attractive and portrayed characters that were real and relatable. Do not expect to see any celebrities or AFI legends, but for an indie project the casting directors were able to put together a stellar team. The music and score was also enjoyable as it really fit and complemented the tone of the story. All in all I recommend any to spend the time to watch this film in full. If you watch it as a group or with a friend it will definitely be a more entertaining venture. Well done filmmakers.

Got to see a sneak preview at " the Dairy Center for the Preforming Arts" in Boulder, Colorado. The company is from the area and I heard the film was shot in Nederland, Colorado, a quirky town just north of Boulder and home of the Frozen Dead Guy Festival. The scenery in the film was beautiful, they used interesting angles and points of view to show off the the area. I thought the casting was done well , it made the story believable. The animation was creative and played well with the actors. The title sounds more risqué than the movie is , I would rate it a light R or PG-13 , no problem watching it with the whole family. There were quite a few memorable lines and humor was used well to hold my interest. I will most likely see this movie again....
