Captivating movie !
An Exercise In Nonsense
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
The start of the film you are unsure where you are going with this low budget film. But quite quickly this film makes you feel anxious and uneasy. Yes there are a lot of dark shots but it is at night in the desert so it would be but it makes things hard to see. This actually helps keep this unusual unsettling vibe. A good payoff at the end. If you like guts and gore it may not be your sort of film but when it is used in this film its balanced.
Director Jamie Brown crafted a great little film, and I was totally surprised by how it turned out. It's an awesome power house of an indie horror filled with great spooks. They accomplished so much more than even the large budget corporate horror does. And at just over an hour, it doesn't overstay it's welcome. I urge everyone to Give it watch!
