Don't listen to the negative reviews
Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
The movie's only flaw is also a virtue: It's jammed with characters, stories, warmth and laughs.
Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
"The Image" sticks Finney in the spotlight as a workaholic investigative reporter/anchor whose career is soaring while his personal life takes a nose dive. Obviously fabricated with everyone too glib and no one behaving like real people, "The Image" tries to make some vague points about ethics vs morality and matters of conscience in journalism during its futile attempt to conjure up the pressure cooker atmosphere of "Broadcast News". Little more than a marginal small screen watch for needy sofa spuds. (C-)Note - Look for a bit part by a young Brad Pitt.
