While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

First and foremost, you will not like a movie if you wish to think very little when watching the content of any movie. This is a movie about the journey inwards of a woman. A woman whose life is falling apart. The character representation of the mental states of the protagonists is awesome. The visualization capability of the director is commendable. She takes a persons life and analyzes and visualizes it in her own way. The representation can be easily related to the audience. I wouldn't say that its a great movie but it surely is a movie if you are in a thinking mood .My rating - 6/10.

Normally I don't write a review for a movie. But,Waking Madison is a great movie written and directed by Katherine Brooks.I would highly recommend this movie to anyone. It is covering an issue that is so overlooked by many. Katherine found a way to portray a very important issue. How there are so many people that do suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder. This is the type of movie that you watch not expecting much, and are totally taken off guard how good it is. And Elisabeth Shue did an amazing job playing the psychiatrist to the girls in the psych ward. This is a very entertaining movie with a killer twist at the end that will make you want to re-watch the movie.

Waking Madison is an amazing film.  It was a long journey that writer and director Katherine Brooks allowed her fans to take with her. But it was worth every minute of it. As it is worth every second to watch this movie. It will take you deep into the psyche of a woman close to the edge. And in the end, you won't be satisfied if you watch the movie only once. Because it will leave you pondering and thinking for hours afterwards. At least for me, that was the case. The actresses' performances are great. Sarah really becomes Madison and while you're watching the movie, you will feel her pain, her confusion and suffering. And Elisabeth makes you feel, as if you are truly able to feel safe with her character- even though during the movie, you might think, that she is so different to any other therapist portrayed in other movies. The other actresses are acting great as well - I, personally, loved the character  Angel (Wendy Glenn) the most. Even though the parts of the movie, that play in the hospital reminded me a lot of the movie Girl, interrupted. Which is not a bad thing, of course. The filming is done very well as well. Not only the actresses and the story itself pull you into Madison's mind, but also the flow of the camera and the art of the pictures, the colors and symbols. That is another reason to watch the movie again - to see all the things, you haven't discovered the first time.Waking Madison is different to Loving Annabelle - but it still has Katherine Brooks' personal touch to it. A lot of it!   If you're one of her followers, you will see a lot of her in the movie - which is a great thing. If you're new to her films, make sure to learn more about this great director. It's worth just as much, as watching this movie.

Waking Madison, another breath-taking movie from the mind of the amazing Katherine Brooks. I was absolutely blown away by the emotional sincerity and harrowing reality of this movie. Not to mention the end... that was just something else! The acting was superb and the script was well-written. All the characters were very three-dimensional and believable. Even the depiction of Madison's mental illness was very apt and not too cliché. I can't seem to find fault with this movie... even after the numerous times I've seen it. It is most definitely in my list of top ten movies of all time (along with Loving Annabelle, of course)! Off to watch it again! :D
