One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

Unbelievable that this movie has a 7.1 mark. Too bad. Actors with primary errors, nonexistent direction, unbelievable elongated script. I think it was the worst movie I've seen in years. I would say that to be bad still has to improve a lot. The same thing is the actors. All very bad. Besides that none has any kind of physical attraction. I really wanted a bomb to fall and kill all the characters. Do not waste your time.

This film tells the story of a man meeting another man in the gym, and they befriend each other. It actually is not a chance meeting, but a carefully planned meeting in order to break up the new relationship of his ex-girlfriend.I have to say that the subplot of trying to destroy the ex-girlfriend's relationship is not very obvious to me. All I see is a gay man who seduces a straight man, and to various degrees of success at different time points. The pace is slow and there are many stationary shots which prolongs the film unnecessarily. I can't say I liked the film too much, but I did find it cute that the gay guy has to test the water and come up with different excuses to make a move on the straight guy.

This film is definitely not for everyone - certainly not most Americans who are so provincial in their tastes. Plan B is about as European as any film can be although technically it is Argentine from Argentina's foremost director, Marco Berger, who, apparently, must have fallen in love with 2001 because Plan B is an absolute steel in the way it is filmed exactly as 2001 was done and even with the same sound effects! Yikes! What goes on here? What is Berger trying to tell us? How are 2001 and Plan B connected? What mysterious conundrum is Berger attempting to convey to us? I'm at a loss to understand it and if I had Berger's home phone I would call him immediately to ask him what in heaven's name he is trying to say to us in the unique way he has structured Plan B. But alas, I am not privy to his private life and therefore I must remain in the dark, another confused soul wandering in the labyrinth of life.

A very affecting film. Two "regular" guys cross paths when one becomes the boyfriend of a girl who has dumped the other. They do not know each other. But, when the rejected man learns of the other, he plans a "revenge" against his ex-girlfriend by attempting to manipulate her new man away from her. When this fizzles, he hits upon a weird "Plan B:" He will seduce the new bf HIMSELF, steal her away from the woman, and then leave them both high and dry. Needless to say, this is not what happens. The results are unexpected, surprising, and endearing. But the price we (the audience) must pay for this fable is viewing a less-than-perfect film. The production values are relatively primitive, the actors are not the most charismatic, but their abilities are excellent, and the storyline is wonderful--tender, sensitive, macho, and many other adjectives which may seem to contradict each other. I realize that this review is disjointed and vague, so let me just say that whether you are gay or straight or undecided, you will enjoy this film. Rarely does a film leave you with a thought-provoking story; this one does. It's not for everyone, so I hope I've said just enough to intrigue those readers who will enjoy it. To be viewed at least two times, in my opinion.
