Not the film I expected. From trailers I expected an unrelenting trip into the surreal, for the film to slowly go down its own blackhole of insanity. But alas, for the most part it stuck too closely to the narrative of an unhappy husband creepily following and seeking attention from two teenage girls. The surreal moments don't quite add up to anything imaginative, rather a disappointing climax with an attempt at a final twist, but that doesn't really land with any weight or exactitude. The filming does feel intriguing, genuine, and interesting most of the time. The acting is pretty solid, though I felt the husband was less interesting than the rest of the cast. About mid-way I was getting bored, as it was still clinging to its narrative without going anywhere with it, so I took a break, only to come back and within five minutes the film gave me its own Intermission. While not highly recommended, I would still recommend a viewing, as the filming and ideas in themselves do hold some interest, as well as some of the imagery filmed.

To start this review off, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. It was absolutely daring, interesting, and was absolutely surreal and impressive for what it accomplished. Let's just get that out of the way first. However, the movie (to me) felt like a mixed bag that could have had more substance to it. I have had plenty of questions after the film that weren't answered subtly in the film or just in general. Here's the thing, I can enjoy movies that are random just to be random, but the randomness has to have a purpose, otherwise, it doesn't mean anything at all. This was just a big problem for me with the whole film, it lacked substance and felt empty and hollow. Just to clarify, I don't expect the answers to be spoon fed to me, but it would've been nice to give clues that led up to the events that had happened, and interpret from there. Another problem that I have had was how the characters felt really two-dimensional and didn't do much for me, as they were basic and simplistic. Another complaint that I have had was the editing, and is another big one. The editing was, to be quite frank, absolutely shoddy and not good. It seemed rushed, looked extremely lazy and looked really bad, in general, especially in a bunch of the scenes where the characters are filmed behind a green screen with footage playing behind the characters, with terrible special effects. Don't get me wrong, the special effects and editing has it's fair share of being good and bad, but it was mostly bad during the 2nd act, and some in the 1st and 3rd act. There was most likely a reason for this because they probably had to rush it out to the public and try not to get in legal trouble, which is what I believe. This would hopefully be the case, as this sounds pretty reasonable. The least I can say is that I was absolutely entertained and intrigued during the whole film. Otherwise, I would recommend this to people who casually watch movies who don't care for interpreting and questioning a film so much. In other words, people who just sit and relax and just enjoy the movie. 6/10

I just now finished watching "Escape From Tomorrow", and I must say, I was impressed. I didn't expect much. I expected it to be as cheesy as Sharknado, maybe even cheesier. But it was a great movie. But I have no idea how they managed to shoot some scenes in guerrilla format. For example, the part where Jim was imagining Spaceship Earth exploding (I couldn't help but laugh) how could they film a scene like that without some bystander pointing, saying "Hey! How come that guy is filming those people running around like the spaceship earth is rolling around?" I also thought the ending was confusing. It showed him dead with a creepy cat face, but then it showed him still alive and with a new family. What the heck? But overall, "Escape From Tomorrow" was a great movie, and I wouldn't mind watching it again and again.

This movie basically plays with all the legend Urban's myth of Disney world. From the robots humans to the demons employees to the mysterious deaths to the ghost kids...I mean to all that creepy things that we all hear of Disney.i like the movie creepy ambient and the way they put all things together. The acting is average for this kind of movie and the movie never boring and catch you since the opening. Is glad to see a very different kind of horror movie...see this movie and go inside the "dark and cruel world of Disney".
