Mega Piranha (2010)

Highly Overrated But Still Good

It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

This movie was in my local Walmart $5.00 bin. I focused on the words, "Tiffany, nudity and adult situations." Fortunately the three did not meet. By the time Tiffany gets on the screen, the nudity is over and nothing to write home about. Like the Mega piranha, Tiffany has mutated and gotten huge, move over Sally Struthers. How big was she? She couldn't get raped in a Venezuelan prison. Likewise Paul Logan gives us his most unmemorable performance.The special effects were so bad, I was crying out for "Mega Shark". They had women on nuclear submarines with a control room that looked more like my living room, than an actual submarine control room. The Secretary of State describes the fish as traveling in "groups" (not schools). The fish absorb nutrients through the skin, yet jump on to land to eat people. In addition to battling various sizes of poorly generated computer fish, Tiffany and Logan must also battle rogue elements of the Venezuelan army.Unless you are into camp and have plenty of glaucoma medication, you might want to take a pass on this one.

Mega Piranha is a mockbuster from Asylum, released to capitalise on the release of Piranha 3D. Mega Piranha is truly mega trash of a movie with a conclusion that felt extremely unsatisfying. To be fair the piranhas were truly terrifying. Included in the cast is Barry Williams playing Secretary of State Bob Grady and I definitely appreciate how his character got his surname. Playing the main male character is Paul Logan as Jason Fitch and he sure make his fight against the piranhas looked fun even though this is a truly atrocious movie. The solution at the end only solved one part of a wider problem, a problem that does not seem to be solved to my complete satisfaction. The mega in the title not only refers to the piranha but the size of this complete and utter trash.

After watching this big pile of s***, I was wondering how come the distributors allowed this movie to come out. This movie was made in 2010 with the special effects of the 60s. The end doesn't make any sense. Pretty much everything doesn't make any common sense.This movie is the worst movie I have ever seen by all aspects of it. I'm trying to find something positive about this movie but it's impossible. I saw pretty much every movie that came out for the last 20 years and this is the worse. I give it -10.This movie is a true mystery. How is it possible to distribute something like that? I make better movies with my phone watching nothing.

I considered giving this film a 4 for laughs alone. but hey, its really should of got a 1 . OK, first off Greg Brady's in it but they call him Bob Grady... yup .. you get the picture. right away when one said.. "they double every 3 days" or something like that. they other scientist says "oh no , they are growing exponentially, they are doubling every 36 hours" AWWW both are geometric progressions. well, i don't want to ruin the ending but I guarantee you . if you have 3 digits in your IQ you will be saying "and this works... WHY???" in the mean time the fish will get bigger then smaller then really big .. then small.. and the acting is as bout as good as when my friend made a spoof movie and I acted in it. lol. if you like really STUPID scifi movies.(as I do for the laugh factor) you might like this one. there is plenty to laugh at. nothing is believable and the animation is about as good as Gumby. and capt America is wayy better then any body from a cheep 3rd world. lol .. this movie has it all.. but it really makes NO sense and Don't think... you will experience brain cell loss if you do.. just point and laugh. lol
