One moment some 80 people are walking on a big city street. Suddenly a blinding light appears that transports them to a very peculiar racing course. A voice sounds in everybody’s head : “The school, the house and the prison are safe. Follow the arrows or you will die. Stay on the path or you will die. If you’re doubled twice, you will die. Do not touch the grass or you will die. Race or die.” Whether you’re rich or poor, old or young, blind, strong, handicapped, courageous or a coward; the rules make no distinction. There can be only one winner !

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I had absolutely a fun time watching this, it made me feel and make laughs, I was intrigued by many of the surprised twists and all the different unique death. They put many emotion into my heart when watching this movie and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good times. However movie was completely awful and I'm not sure you want to watch. The character had a lot of depth and he was a pretty funny. I'm just not sure if that's enough for the guys this day and age. What if we could do more movie with this. What if it could have become longer and more build up to the finals. If I could production this I would have made it a much more longer. I would continued past the twist ending and gave satisfy of the ending. If that is not appeal to you I don't know what is not. Please let me know if this is helpful to you if you watched the Human Racing movie. Thanks many -Mark

*Contains Spoilers* From the first few minutes, you can tell that this is going to be an absolute turkey. So many times I thought 'I should turn this off now as I'm wasting my life' but it got to a point where I thought I should just finish it, in case something amazing happens at the end...The fact that the movie begins by focusing on the life of a young woman, creating a back story for her and her family, with an array of short scenes lasting about 16 seconds each, would make you think that she would be the protagonist in this feature. Well, I was mistaken, as she is then killed off a few minutes later. I thought that something would happen later to revisit these initial scenes, but again I was sorely mistaken. The first ten minutes have nothing to do with anything. Lazy filmmaking. With that out the way, it gets into the main storyline which I believe is an interesting concept. Loads of people in a random place, no idea how they got there and having to take part in a race, a survival of the fittest. This concept however is poorly executed. If you don't follow the race path you die, if you step on grass you die and if someone overtakes you twice you will also die. This is repeated in the movie about 50 times, just in case you forget the rules. Everything that follows in the racing scenes appears to be loosely thrown together, mainly relying on improvisation and the various stereotypical characters barking/fighting with each other. You can't really identify with any characters and none are likable. The deaths aren't particularly gruesome and there are a vast number of laugh out loud moments which I'm sure the filmmakers didn't intend. The ending is just preposterous. You are left wondering what has just happened in the last 90 minutes of your life. PS2 graphics are also abundant in the final scenes. I have no idea what the writers were thinking.I feel as though the good reviews on this site have been left by people involved with the film and their friends, because nobody in their right mind could actually LIKE this. Definitely do not buy. It's on Netflix though, so if you want a movie that is so despicably bad that it becomes hilarious, then I would recommend.

Spoiler Alert!!! Spoiler Alert!!!I gave it a seven; honestly people on IMDb have become so cynical lately. True, some movies deserve their ire, but when it is obvious that someone is doing their best with what they have and Still managing to do a good job...?I loved the smooth editing on the action shots and running scenes and I thought that the death scenes were awesome especially the baby! And I think that people just snatched up like this would probably act a lot like these did, especially the dark turn that it all began to take, when some tried to take advantage of the situation.Even the rather open ended way that the film finished was totally believable for the situation..We need more non cookie-cutter movies like these, Hollywood needs to stop regurgitating plots from the past and look for directors with fresh takes on scenarios, like this one...In the past the only way that I could see a movie with some real imagination was with the odd Indie movie or...the Japanese! Japan is famous for making the weirdest, most entertaining movies ("Ichi the Killer", "Three...Extremes", "Suicide Club", "Dumplings", etc.).In closing, see the movie..then make up your own mind...

It's by no means perfect, like just about every other film out there, but the overkill of 1 star reviews has lead me to contribute my good one as, quite frankly, it -really- is not a bad film at all.Horror is a very open term when it comes to film genre and it to me horror is anything that messes with your mind. There are scenes in this film where I had my hands on my face whilst watching and there were bits I was laughing my head off (...literally no pun intended there but my god that's good... I'll leave it in).Not sure how so many others were bored of the storyline... I was hooked right through to the very end, I feel like we were watching different films? The 2 (main) deaf characters really are awesome and for me were the most enjoyable characters to watch, not to mention brilliantly acted. There is a recurring theme of challenging our most common prejudices in society throughout the film, some unfortunately a little too unsubtle, but it does pain me to say they don't really lead to any good message or moral as far as I could tell. Really it's more of an observation on how we all are as societal groups. All in all not a perfect film and there are better but certainly good enough to get past the 5 mark.
